Random Irritations

I know, I saw what happened.
And I also know what the law says.
Doesn't mean I have to agree with it.
You come out of a shop, get in your car, call your wife, ''I'll be home in 10 minutes''
Is that worth a £400 fine and 6 points?

If you don't turn the engine on you are fine to be fair

So if you know the law and still make that call then I’ve no sympathy for you or me or anyone else that gets caught.

99% of us have probably broken the law in a car, but we know the repecussions if caught, take it on the chin and move on.

And if the Porsche has stop start?

So you think chatting on a moby in a parked car is dangerous?

It is only legal if you are safely parked – and this does not include waiting in traffic or stationary at the traffic lights. The law also includes a proviso for emergencies: you are allowed to make 999 or 112 calls on a hand-held device while driving, but only if it's not otherwise safe to stop.

The only thing I don't like about this video is the wannabe policemans attuide. He was cycling the other way. He's turned round. Looked in all the window (not focusing on the road ) and stopped at the first car who had their phone.

Not defending the driver, he is in the wrong however the guy filming is a twonk

Not being feeling the best now for a while, so have been getting blood tests over the last 6 months, last set took 8 days to come back, phoned yesterday afternoon, not back yet, then a letter comes in the post the same day to book an appointment as doctor wants to discuss last results.
Next appointment available, 19th December 😩🤬
Why not ring every morning for an appointment. If / when you get one (make up why) pop in and say "i'm here to discuss my blood tests". Bluddy doctors are getting so annoying.

We made the decision to get rid of sky last month - had the full package plus sports plus broadband from them for 10+ years.

Broadband was always stable but quite poor speeds in our area.

We chose to effectively go to freeview plus subscriptions - the main culprits - Netflix, Amazon, Disney and a new broadband deal.

All major broadband providers told me - we don't offer fibre to property to you, best speeds we can offer is up to 35mb - much like Sky did. I checked Openreach's plans for fibre upgrades and nothing to my area planned at all - great! So I signed with BT.

Discuss this with a couple mates, and one of them calls me last week saying he's in the same boat as me but remembered registering his details with a company called BeFibre once who offered great speeds but hadnt yet got their network set up locally. Quick call and fact finding mission and low and behold, they offer fibre to property to both our houses (different sides of the city) as they have their own network!

So, ive cancelled BT 4 days after it was installed (14 day window for cancellation for no fee) and next week my new 900mb internet is being installed...

All for the same price per month.... What are the major suppliers doing?!

The small fibre companies are fantastic

Community fibre £30 a month (£5 extra because I wanted their mesh router system rather than using my own)

1gb speeds

Ridiculous

Nobody can match it locally

EE want £45 a month. What's the extra £15 for? Well £20 if you include the mesh

I'll stick with community fibre thanks
