Random Irritations

Can we as a nation stand up and say no more white washing.

Do you need white shirts? Not really. Any colour would work effectively

Do you need white socks ? Not really you could have a light grey sock

Do kids need white for school? Of course they don't! Asda do cheap coloured polos .. can have any of them as the school colour. Easier to keep clean

You don't need a white wash.

It's utterly ridiculous

Literally end up putting a white wash on every 3 days that's basically 1/4 full because they insist on white socks for the kids. Why? Why would you give children white socks?

Let's make a stand.

No more white washing
You'll not get on a golf course in the summer in your shorts without . White socks

Toothpaste. What a plethora to choose from. One with xyz for sensitive teeth, or xyz for whitening, yxz for plaque, xyz for gums and several more…

Why not just stick all the active ingredients into the same tube!
Just get cheapest you like. Aquafeesh in whatever type they have at home bargains. A quid

Getting a quote to rerender back of house. Massive, but we expected it. Then quote to paint gable end. £3.5k from same bloke. Lol. Goylt a painter to quote .....£280 plus paint. Guess who's just lost render job

Having to go through an hour long telephone call to make sure I understood about pensions and what I wanted to do with it despite me attempting to avoid it by telling him at the start what I wanted to do. And still they have to go away and punch the numbers to ensure I'm doing the right thing for me when I've told them and tried to prove I know what I'm doing. Sigh...

We've been looking to get our front porch replaced with a bigger porch to include a downstairs toilet. Quotes so far have been £12.5K (although we think this doesn't include the plumbing work required), £14.5K, £16K and £22K. And this is to build something that would be 1.5m x 2.5m approx. It's becoming ridiculous the cost of getting work done. And as for the quote of £22K, why even waste your time coming out to give a quote if you so obviously don't want the work?

Blame the Financial Services Act for that. They have to cover their backsides to avoid getting heavy fines for failing to do it.

Despite being an ex financial advisor myself I still had to go through it it all last time I took out a financial product. At least the guy said it was the fastest he had ever got through the forms.

Having a brand new coffee machine installed in our relatives waiting area at lunchtime on Wednesday and not broken. Some people seem to have no self-control and supplies that should last several weeks already emptied and the machine now not dispensing anything.

If, when you buy something online, the money comes out of your account instantly why does it still take 2, 3 or 4 days for a refund to reach your account..?
I've returned an item, you've got it, you've issued the refund - Where's my money?
Peasants the lot of them.....
I would be pleased if the refunds were that quick, usually waiting at least a week if not longer for refunds

BT Online chat people not having much of a clue what their on about

Wanted to leave bt a year early. Happy to pay the charge. However want to keep my BT tv as they bundled bt sports into it.

They said fine

Called to leave I have to cancel the lot. So £300 to leave and lose bt sport

Cutting my losses and if we go out of Europa next week I won't bother renewing it anyways lol 😆

Banks making their cut …

Car tax in excess of £320 for a 2 litre car that’s 56 plate … and does 4000 miles a year .. insurance has increased as well ..
Both these costs offer no benefit.. no roads are fixed and insurer will just write it off at any opportunity
