I can’t even get our Golf Club Board to understand that a Shared Data Environment would be highly beneficial. Currently each Board Member uses their own IT system. We end up emailing documents, minutes, drafts etc with barely any configuration control. I consider it a bit of a failure on my part that I can’t get over the advantages of a SDE to them. Even the three Office staff hold their own versions of documents and data worksheets - emailing them to each other.

Don’t tell me, if you were to suggest the club have a cloud environment for document sharing etc, you’d have some saying that the club couldn‘t afford to buy new computers, besides…where would the club put it and who’d look after it.

As an add on to the above, I was walking down the stairs at home on Tuesday am, the bad left leg buckles under me and I end up sitting straight down on both ankles

Both knees went pop at the same time, que mucho ouchiness and sweary words, upshot is I am now into my third night in Stoke Mandeville, can’t weight bear on either leg yet and they will probably have to keep me in until one leg is able to bear weight.

Good job the weather is still rubbish, but looking at a good couple of months out

Aircon unit in the bedroom started leaking again only 6 months after last service so its out of use until he can come back and apparently he's run off his feet just now so we've had to move into the spare room since temps are silly high right now and that one still works

I have to disagree. I've eaten in the staff restaurant for the last 16 years (same menu the patients get) and the food 95% of the time is decent and exceptional value. Macaroni and mash would normally be two separate menu choices from the list

I've not criticised the quality of the food in any way, but find the mix of macaroni and mash a strange combination to serve up, especially as the lunch sheet only offered macaroni cheese.

Not at all, but I don't remember seeing "large pork chop" on the lunch menu

As a volunteer we get a free lunch. The puddings are delicious - ginger sponge and custard...huge portion! We only get one course so I go pud every time

Mmmmmm nice. Our apple crumble and thick proper custard always a winner. Not a patch on my good ladies with apples picked from the course each Autumn but for a massed produce version very, very good

The Mrs has just had her car tax bill come through the post.......20 quid....
It can barely be worthwhile bothering....it'll almost cost 20 quid for the envelope, paper, printing, postage and processing
Not I mind that much, I mean, mine is 165 quid but at least they'll have some left once I've paid it.....

My sister was in recently. What annoyed her was having to have the choice of the person in the bed before her. It's such a poor system. She then had the pressure of choosing for the next person. She was kind though, went for something neutral
