Random Irritations

Despite having a very happy day twin 1 decides to have a night terror only 1 hour after bedtime

The night the wife is on a well deserved night out

I think it was more stupid of me to use the eco 3 hour wash instead of the normal 1 hour lol 🤣 thought as she hadn't had one for 3 nights that was safe to stay downstairs for a bit

Luckily a few days ago I dug out one the old baby monitor cameras and repaired it from when they didn't share rooms.. so got one eye on her in the spare room bless her ..

Soundo just don't dare move her

I get them in the same arm so at least I can still vaguely function!
I had them in the same arm as that arm was nearest to the lady doing the injections!

I read that research has shown that it is more effective to have the covid jab in the same arm as the previous one. Unfortunately, that data was not stored on my medical record.

She's their grandma. Is it not basically her job to undermine you and give them anything they want?

I had to laugh ... Yesterday they wanted my oyster card .. I said no I can't lose it I need it for work or I can't go. Slight lie but it's linked to the printer at work and I need to print at work....

Anyways they go grandad lets us hold it.. I said well if grandad loses his it isn't such a big deal

Guess who just txt me

"I have mislaid my over60 Oyster card last used on bus Thursday picking up girls, it’s not at yours is it?"

Shouldn't laugh but i told him don't trust them with anything of value lol

Our washing machine is in the garage and feeds into an external drain. A couple of months ago the external drain became blogged. I cleared the water out, arm down the drain, dragged out quite a bit of silt, the water went through okay again. This afternoon, same again. I haven't cleared all of the water out but shoved my arm in to feel for any blockage. I couldn't feel one but my arm was stinking. I've washed it multiple times with soap, washing up liquid and also the solvent, liquid soap leftover from covid. The smell is still lingering 🤢.

Oh, and the drain is still blocked 🙄

Do you have a jet washer?

Might be worth a little Squirt
(See what I did there ) 🤭🤭

Winter has arrived.
Out on the fatbike yesterday afternoon, shorts and long sleeve top. Gravel ride with a group today and it was freezing, longs, winter gloves at hat under the helmet. Hands and feet freezing by the time I got home, lashed it down the last hour too.

I don't but I can borrow one. Only issue is, the problem seems to be at a right angle and so I don't know if the pressure will reacb whatever the problem is or will I just get a face full of splash back 😳. I've got rods, they can't get around the bend, and I've tried with wire but that just bends up.

My wife's friends husband, stick with me, has worked in the drain game in the past so I'm going to get her to message him for advice. Hopefully there is an evil, but eco friendly 😉, chemical I can pour down that will clear it out.

(Yes, I did see what you did 😄)

Could you hit it with about 10 bottle of the stuff that's normally used to unclog the u-bend under the bath?

Find the inspection chamber that's downstream. If it's clear, you need to get some drain rods with the disc attachment on and see if you can feel a blockage back towards the blocked gulley where the washing machine feeds into, and if you do, keep pushing the rods back and forth until the blockage clears.
If the inspection chamber is full of water, move downstream and do the same.

I'll go and Google inspection chamber 😄.

Thank you 👍

Emotive clickbait rubbish on Instagram. My wife likes a good scroll on her phone of an evening, then all of a sudden she's bursting into tears out of nowhere. She shows me it and it just annoys me because, as I mentioned, it's just emotive tear-jerker nonsense to try and get emotional people liking and sharing it. Now I'm a horrible person who has no feelings and she's even more upset. Every other week we have this same row. I swear to god I'm going to go on her phone, change her Insta password and delete the app one day.
