Random Irritations

Or worse, vendors who don’t like honest feedback regarding a truly shocking product and service, and ask you to change it because it might harm their business.
The same type of people who offer vouchers for positive feedback.... Sometimes you have to tell the truth.

I've been a sportswoman all my life. Represented my county at three different sports and, as a youngster, was in the England Hockey training squad. In all that time I have NEVER compared my performance to a boy/man playing the same sport. Why would I? A pointless exercise and the only athletes I compared myself to were other females. That was my barometer and sporting role models/inspirations were all female as it was something I could genuinely aspire to.

The only sporting "arena" I have EVER been made to feel inferior is the golf course/club...part of why I don't play anymore.

So to try and compare professional sportsmen and sportswomen is frankly ludicrous. Take each one on its merit and admire the athletes for their commitment and endeavour and talent.
At my club the most successful and acclaimed amateur we have ever had is a lady.
County champion, England Seniors Champion and member of England Seniors team that won the European Championship.
The club created her own honours board with a prime spot in the lounge to list all her achievements.
Very much respected and admired by all.

Glastonbury. Possibly the only thing I’m less interested in than the Ashes.
Sorry to ask but if you refer to The Ashes do you understand the rules of cricket and how far The Ashes go back and alll the history?

I do not understand American Football and cannot stand the game. i have tried to understand but just find it boring.

Nipper has misplaced his iPhone at home. Did not put it for charging, and now it shows last location at home yesterday but can’t find it. Looking to find a way to locate an iPhone with a dead battery … annoying (but there is a lesson in there somewhere)

Then you understand it very well from a spectator's point of view.
Its a bit like golf - tedious to watch - action is very brief with huge pauses in between.
Cricket is similar.

I find Laura Kueensberg irritating and usually watch Sophie Ridge on a Sunday morning if anybody.

Thought I would give her a try today and one of the interviewees was appalling. Why can people not answer the question rather than answering a different question with the same response

If you contact Apple have you thought whether they may have a solution?

I do understand the rules of cricket and the history of the ashes. I’m not in the slightest bit interested, sick of hearing about it and people asking my opinion of what has gone on.

I know it’s been mentioned before but motorway driving.

Joined the M1 northbound from Toddington Services today behind a lady driver who STOPPED on the on-slip, indicated and joined the busy motorway from stationary. I sat there waiting for the carnage which thankfully never came.

Unbelievable.

I dislike air travel in general, but especially the airports themselves.

On Saturday we flew back from Paphos and the passengers were treated with even more contempt than usual.

We were at the gate and called for boarding. That took us out of the air-conditionded departure lounge and into what can only be described as some sort of industrial scale gazebo with no seating and left to stand in the Cyprus heat. At least it had some kind of canvas roof to give us some shade.
At this point, our plane hadn't even arrived at the airport. We were there for about an hour before the the plane was ready to board.
There were families with young kids, who I have to say were remarkably well behaved considering what they were being put through.

I don't know if it's the airport or the airline - Easyjet in this case - that makes these decisions. (I suspect it's the airport).
But whoever is responsible seems to have absolutely no consideration for their customers.

My credit card being blocked for fraud.. fair enough but Google pay is supposed to still work.. luckily had a spare one on there , just will be annoying for a few weeks whilst they sort it..
Wonder when they will call? 1800 said they would be shortly in touch . 5-10 working days probs

Gumtree. It’s handy for selling stuff but the inevitability of “is this still available” emails and the “would you take £xxx for it if I pay cash?” When it’s clear that the price is fixed and how bloody else will they pay?

Internet version of tyre kickers.

If the item wasn’t so bulky/heavy I would have just put it on eBay.

I will persevere with it but it’s bloody irritating with time wasters.
