Random Irritations

Terror twin decided last night not to go to bed

So the elf left a note this morning

After her emergency meeting with Santa she is instructed to return to the north pole if any more of this behaviour happens before Xmas and all surprises will be cancelled

I'm proud of how my youngest took it ..

"it's not fair on us. I'm always good
Please listen and stay in your bed"

Yes ! You have a go at her lol 😂
Just read this out to my wife, and mother of two, in their 40's, with three grandchildren 7/9/10.
We laughed aloud!
The stuff we made up to sort ours out!
😅😳

My wife filled me in the full reaction with their voice impressions

Her twin was not impressed

No it's not good. I'm always good. I can be cheeky but not naughty, you need to behave yourself

Go on little lady standing up to her lol 🤣

The answer: my wife.
She thinks nothing of sitting hours on a foam pad - driveway and large patio - scraping the gaps She finds it therapeutic. Then I follow up with an 8L manual spray pump of 6/2 water/thick bleach, followed by wife with stiff sweeping brush going like a curling gold medallist!
Simples!
😅
When can she pop round to do mine next year?

Random leak coming through kitchen ceiling from bathroom above after showering. No obvious signs when I check. Another big bill coming in new year. Brilliant.:(

Check the sealant , ours was that. Cost £90 for them to replace the shower sealant and tbh turned out it was around the plugs were missed so once he did that was done

One of our fourball has pulled out of the Boxing Day game as he'll, "still be too drunk to drive from the previous day's activities."

It's that really a thing? At least he's staying off the road. 😵‍💫

Oh, that’s really a thing alright.

Once nicked a milkman following a tip off saying he was a heavy drinker and rocking up to work stinking of booze. He was three times the legal limit at 7am.

I'd be more irritated he even signed up - didn't he realise Christmas Day was the day before Boxing Day?!

100% if my wife goes out for a bottomless brunch with her mate I know I'm driving the next day as she will be over the limit still

People are so much more aware of the limits and how long it takes to get out of their system these days

Yep it's a thing. I used to like a beer on a Friday after work and golf Saturday morning. I bought a home breathalyser and if I failed I stayed home

I only meant drinking so excessively, it wipes out the following day's activities! 😁

Not really. It's so easy to go over people just didn't realise before just how long it takes to get out the system. They don't feel drunk but it's still got them over the limit.

Especially if drinking sprits

Just done a calculator online if you drank 5 double gins across the day you are safe to drive 14.5 hours after your last one ...

Interested to see how this is calculated. According to the Drinkaware website "On average, alcohol is removed from the body at the rate of about one unit an hour". so 5 double gins is 10 units.

I understand that if you drank all 5 gins at once it would take a long time but if the gins are 'across the day' wouldn't some be already removed by the time the last one is drunk?
