To put a positive spin on recent events, at least the new leader of the free world is an enthusiastic golfer. I'm sure we all share his passion for that.....
I know its origin but I hate that expression being used in the modern day.
As a citizen of the free world, I'd like to have had some involvement in electing my leader.

And he is a multiple club champion and still plays off 3 at his advanced age. An inspiration to us all :ROFLMAO:
If you want to know what a person is really like, play 18 holes of golf with them.

''Just ask members of Trump International West Palm Beach who arrived for the final round of their Senior Club Championship on Jan. 22 only to find Trump's name at the top of the leaderboard … when he didn't play the first round.

But he did play a round earlier that week, claimed he had a good day and decided to use that score for the first round of the Senior Club Championship. He then called it a "great honor" to have won the tournament on social media, adding, "he was hitting the ball long and straight."

So none of them actually played with him then? 🤔🤣

Sadly, she demonstrated an inability to string a sentence together and had a poor record as VP. The Democrats also started the process with an elderly chap who was clearly struggling with "health issues. "

Why could they not put up some credible alternatives?

If you have two awful options, the winner will be awful

It’s not about him though. Do you genuinely believe he is pulling all the strings. Read up on Project 2025.
Indeed. For the evangelical hard right Republican, Donald Trump is disposable - and they will dispose of him if he looks at all hesitant in putting in place all the measures he has promised and those of Project 2025; they will do this by invoking Amendment 25 of the constitution by forcing or enticing Trump to declare in writing his inability to discharge the presidency's powers and duties - and if he refuses then JD Vance plus members of the cabinet can force him out on grounds of him being so incapable.

And Trump will happily pocket the $$$$$$$$$$$ the GOP offer him to walk away after a decent period in power and he’s done enough swanning and grifting around the world.

Virgin Media sales team.
Dad's been a customer since they took over NTL 20ish years ago.
Despite repeatedly being told not to by me and staff at his care home, they keep calling his mobile to try to sign him up for new services. He's 92 and has dementia.
Despite being happy to talk to me when it has come to renewing his contract over the last 10 years, I'm apparently not authorised to tell them to stop calling him.

In about 2018 I had a great round of 69. I'm now just sending an e-mail to our competition secretary to request he counts that as Round 1 of our Club Champs 2025 next July. Should be fun going out in the leading group in Day 2, hopefully a typical 85 then will still help me finish in a good position up the leaderboard.

Can you block their number on his phone or do they keep changing the number they call from?

Nah. It's one of those big button, dead simple Doro dumb phones. No such option unfortunately. And the network don't let you block nuisance numbers either.

The GOP billionaire backers could offer Trump mega bucks to stand down on the grounds specified in Amendment 25. Trump can do that himself….he just has to declare himself unfit. Nothing stopping him doing that and so he could; pockets the $$$s as he heads off to Mar-a-Lago and retirement. JD Vance steps in and implements Project 2025.

Trump lost in 2020 by 7 million votes
Trump wins in 2024 by 5 million votes

What has he done in 4 years to turn that round.

Indicted 4 times
Stolen secret documents
Conspiracy to try and steal 2020 election
Guilty of 34 felonies
Libel for sexual assault
Over turned Roe V Wade.

Something stinks
