Random Irritations

The builder who lives top of our cul de sac parking his flat bed truck our (main road) end of the road, taking up spaces we need (he gave up his yard but said he’d find an alternative to parking on the road - he hasn’t), especially as we get many residents from the main road parking some or all of their cars up our street outside our houses as they can’t fit them all on their drives or can’t be bothered using their own drives.

And whilst I’m having this little rant, the lodger of a neighbour who parked his BMW right outside our house then went on holiday for 3 weeks.

So now…relax…it’s not the end of the world, but it is (momentarily at least) very irritating.

My neighbour is getting on my wick ATM well his guests

He bought a Luton and ATM he keeping it "on" his drive. It covers some the pavement but I'm not the council

Means he can't park his car there cuz it over hangs the shared drive so he parks down bottom. All fine

When his mum or whoever else come they leave their cars poorly parked and other day we had to ask her to move it to get out .. she took 10 mins to come out! What the hell?

He asked me yesterday to move the mother in laws car so he could get his car from bottom

I grabbed the key and walked straight to do it

Common decency no?
 
The swarm of honey bees that taken up residence on one of the posts on our decking at some point today. Hundreds of them but it makes no sense. there's no shelter, no holes to hide in. They're just swarming around the post itself.

Going to have to get someone in from the local apiary if they are still there tomorrow.

They are probably in transit. We had it last year in a shrubbery, a huge swarm. We took advise and left them, and as was suggested to us they went the following day.

If you were closer we'd grab them for you , picked up a swarm at the golf club on Monday night

We’ll keep an eye on them and see what they do. We obviously don’t want to harm them but they can’t stay there as there are toddlers over the back that would be wandering a bit close.

I got stung by a bee last week, I was digging through our compost bin and disturbed a nest , stung on ring finger and it was numb and swollen , I was wearing thick gloves too.

And there's that one where they state, "stay motivated".

That ought to be, "Remain motivated" or "maintain motivation".

I've lived in the same house for 35 years. Does that mean that I am "stay motivated"?

Fast can be used as an adverb. You’re irritated by something caused by your own ignorance. Hopefully you won’t find it irritating anymore now that you know. :)

Again, no. Stay is just fine in this context.

I hope you also are less irritated now that you know better.
 
Emergency call out while I’m out for the missus birthday.
It’s not an emergency in the sense of the word since I’m here moaning but it’s just covering someone’s arse and idiot here has responded and always does even if he’s at the other end of the country.
Useless company, mostly useless colleagues. Pays well.
