Trust me - no one wants this.
When you say "no one" I'm not sure I trust you

9 and 10 would lead to my entire holiday wardrobe consisting of a single pair of the smallest budgie smugglers... for all occasions... for the entire holiday.

Trying varifocals. Been back with them once and picked up new ones yesterday. They are also going back. I can't cope with them.
Make sure they're fitted correctlyTrying varifocals. Been back with them once and picked up new ones yesterday. They are also going back. I can't cope with them.
I've never tried them but hear they can be really awful to get used to. I wear mono vision contact lens (es) so basically one lens for distance and other eye uncorrected. Helps distance and reading. Might be worth a try...
Thanks Amanda. May well ask them about that. We did try different lenses in each eye a couple of years ago when I first went for contacts for golf but couldn't cope with that.
Make sure they're fitted correctly
When I first got mine the base of the frame was too close to my upper cheek and it threw everything off..
Manager took one look at them when I went back, bent the frames a bit and Voilà.....
Mine work for looking between my phone close up and a telly further away but middle distance like a computer screen just doesn't work at all.
I spent the best part of 15 years wearing one contact lens. As Amanda identified, the brain works out how to see long distance ( corrected eye) and also short focus ( normal eye) for reading. Eventually had to wear two lenses to correct long vision to be legal for driving. Since retiring, I‘ve stopped wearing lenses but do wear glasses for driving.
I saw that and winced as well. The quality of 'sports journalists 'on breakfast is awful. In essence, they are just people who read the autocue. Sally Nugent was the most clueless, now thankfully moved from sport. She would make weekly gaffes that anyone with even a passing interest in sport would know about.BBC "sports" journalist covering the Giro story and being asked if Cavendish is riding in Le Tour. She didn't know. Come on it's only recently been announced.
Actually journalist is the wrong title I guess for presenters on Breakfast. Presenter is enough...
