ET coming to the end of season “playoffs”

Yas Links today for the HBSC

Looks like it’s a easy scoring course - only 5 out of 70 haven’t broken par

Rory it seems has some swing changes

Also good to see they are being allowed to play in shorts

Wide open course with very little wind and receptive greens and fast fairways - a golfers dream

For scoring well perhaps…

Give me a round at Dornoch or Porthcawl in the setting sun, in a one-club wind, on an empty course with all its natural hollows, bumps, and mounds that links golf provides…now that’s my - and I’m sure many others - golfing dream

Nothing about playing golf in Abu Dhabi or Dubai appeals whatsoever

It’s middle of November- you aren’t going to get Pro Events for the biggest prizes in the UK on a links course

Golf if Dubai won’t appeal to everyone ( including me ) but it’s what extends the season

I'm currently watching without really focusing on it, and it has just struck me that although he is only two off the lead I haven't seen anything of Hatton. Am I correct and if I am is it a deliberate action by Sky not to show the whinging man child?

LOL!..... I think that you give Hatton way more credit than he deserves. I think that the producers of the tournament had a number of players to focus on without giving Hatton's antics a second thought. In any case I'm glad he wasn't shown to any extent. 🙂

Seen as much of Hatton as anyone else, only the main group were shown more.

Really pleased to see Paul Waring win in Abu Dhabi. Couple of years back I watched a few YouTube videos Alex Evans did with him and they seemed a nice pair of guys, with some of the videos covering comps - with Waring just missing out on occasions. I have a feeling Alex Evans was on Waring’s bag this week - so great result for them both.

ETA…a video I particularly enjoyed from 2yrs ago was one in which Waring took Evans through his competition pre-round warm up…a routine that has actually had a lasting impression on me. When I watched it I didn’t have a pre-round warm up routine and my coach was encouraging me to have one…so I basically copied much of Waring’s..

Agreed - nice to see Waring (and Evans) win a big event against a great field

Yep, me too. Miss them both from YouTube, but always follow how Paul’s getting on. Great win for the Biff!

The video that stuck with me was the short game, talking about landing spots, 2/3 of the way, 1/2 the way etc depending on the loft and how quickly the ball needed to stop.

Yeah, I used to watch all of Al's content, it was really good. The stuff he did with Waring was brilliant, I still remember the one he did about chipping and how he would find his 50/50 clubs each course he went to. Both seem like really nice guys you could sit down and have a pint with. I think Waring would make a great Sky commentator when he retires.

Was really pleased for him yesterday, great to see him getting into the big time just as all the changes coming through make it really hard to get into it. Hope he does well in the US next year.

I was very pleased for Paul Waring, it was a very good 4 rounds of golf that he managed. It is so hard to win on tour against fields filled with quality. He comes accross as a really nice guy too.

Does Rory actually need to turn up this week, just one who can catch him and wouldn't he have to win even if Rory is absent

All to play for in the season finale
