Interestingly a lot of people commenting on wider Social Media seem to share your view.
IMO they would only really be doing this if they changed their qualifying criteria. If it remains heavily based around the PGAT then no real change I would say.

They are allowing Captians to continue to pick anyone with a PGA membership but the conditions of being a member don’t link to anyone particular tour

Same way that to play for European you need to have DPT membership but they have restrictions in place on being able to keep your membership 4 events etc

Just another complicated mess in your golf driven by greed

No idea how they solve it all but it will involve money

Random question & I’ll use Norgaard as an example

He was 2 mins from teeing off, all warmed up and putting prep done. Lighting has stoped play for 75 mins

When it restarts, he’ll still be just 2 mins from teeing off (maybe a few more as players get ferried out to their restart holes) but it’ll be at least 90 mins since he last hit a full shot on the range
Wonder if it impacts the early part of their round
They will all be given a warm up period if the delay is a significant amount of time

Is there a range etiquette for restarts?
There's a bucket load of guys warming up ready to start and there's a similar number warming up to restart..
Who gets first dibs...?

I guess if the restarts' tee time is delayed then so it will for those starting and everyone will shuffle back a bit for their range slots

The shot tracker they're using at Wentworth is a pile of junk....
It just showed Rose's ball hooking left on 18, possibly going in the drink......ends up right side of the green
The Shane's drive on 18 looks to be going in the trees right...ends up perfect....
Worthless if that inaccurate

Was lucky enough to play it a few times for 20 quid, mate worked for a company that had a corporate membership, and he wold get the odd tee time, no problem for him to find three other's to play at 20 quid.
Fifteen or so years ago, I bought a charity fourball for £880 on the West course. It was worth every penny.

I putted for an eagle on 17 - shaved it for a birdie - admittedly, it was off the forward tees at the bottom on the ‘hill’, but two outstanding woods for a 13 handicapper.

Swaggered to the 18 - which was shortened, as they were incorporating Ernie’s green changes - and took a snowman.
