It looked like he had a swing and a miss, then decided he was stood on a sprinkler.

I’ve never seen a pro hit practice swings that close to where there ball is. To then drop it to the left where the rough wasn’t as deep looked iffy too.

Nice to see you’re happy to accept a referee’s decision without question!

I covered it in my opinion earlier.

Well the referee was there and made his judgment - how can you make any other judgement when you aren’t there and unable to see the ground where the ball was.

There was sprinkler there and he took relief from said sprinkler under the rules of golf

You seriously talk absolute garbage.
You can’t even hide your dislike for Any Scot or Scotland on numerous threads.
Nonsense.

It’s the double standards of the forum that I like to highlight.

Phil will happily call the refs wrong in the football threads. But at golf?

There are many Scots who will happily spout derogatory nonsense about ‘yanks’ but nothing is ever said about it. Same with being called poms.

Lets be honest he got soooooo fortunate to get that drop. Can't see him winning if he didn't. That said what a gritty performance and you can see what it meant. Hopefully he'll carry it on this week and I hope Aberg can put the disappointment of yesterday behind him as I think he has the game to win the Open
