Chuffed to bits for Matsuyama, he comes across as a genuinely nice chap. It's been a long time since we've had 6 players, who all had an equally good chance, going for the win in the last round of the PGA.

This thread has 9 pages of comments about the Genesis. Typically other regular tournaments have 1-2 pages.

It's somewhat ironic that people on here are complaining about the attention on Tiger, when this forum offers ample evidence that he is still the biggest thing in golf.

By the way, I missed all the action from Riviera. Can someone please confirm if Tiger uses a double bow to tie his shoelaces?

He is the biggest name in the sport still by a country mile

But even when he wasn’t playing the place looked very busy and great to see the crowds watching some great golf yesterday unfold - brilliant to see players like Matsyuma and Zalatoris back challenging

It is a shame that there are some golfers missing these long standing events at some of the best courses in the world

He is one of those that totally fails to understand that golf is in the entertainment business. Awful to watch.
He is the golf equivalent of a contract killer.

Except he would meticulously plan everything, get everything in place, line the shot up perfectly and then somehow end up shooting himself in the foot.

Good for Matsuyama, looks to be fully over his injuries. Wasn't sure if Zalatoris could come back to similar level after his, so a good showing there also.

Note that 3 of last 4 PGAT events have been won by overseas players - probably a good thing in the grand scheme of golf, but wonder if a few natives are becoming restless 🤔

What do you expect the natives to do about it?

Not a shame at all. I don't miss players that are not there, I concentrate on the players that are there.

Pro golf doesn't have an asterisk for tournaments with non-players. You can only play against the players in front of you.

Great win Hideki!
