This is one thing that's becoming a strength of LIV I think. While on the PGA tour the field is watered down and you never know how many big names will show up - on LIV they are all there every event.

All the big boys will be at the "Elevated" events on the PGAT though - which is also 12-14 events over the year I think?

I did think the WM would be one of those though - maybe its not! I've no actual clue!

Turns out its not an elevated event!

The last was Pebble Beach, the next is Genesis Invitational

Edit: There's 8 elevated events this year

  • The Sentry (January 1-7)
  • AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am (January 29-February 4)
  • The Genesis Invitational (February 12-18)
  • Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard (March 4-10)
  • RBC Heritage (April 15-21)
  • Wells Fargo Championship (May 6-12)
  • the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday (June 3-9)
  • Travelers Championship (June 17-23)

Still got Scottie, Fitz, Homa, JT , Jordan, Rickie Wyndham, Adam Scott, to name just a few..
And p,entry from the next level down.

I’d take Rahm, DJ, Koepka, Bryson, Cam Smith, Gooch, Niemann, Reed, Hatton and Mickelson any day of the week tho

I don’t watch LIV golf, I don’t watch PGA Tour golf

#justsaying they’re more appealing tho IMO

The WM was elevated last year, so that is why you probably recalled it.

Last year they also counted the 3 "fed ex" events as elevated also, plus a few more I think.

Never really watched the WM - not a fan of the “hole” or what it has become , it’s certainly created plenty of drama over the years though and watching the Netflix documentary with Dahman certainly gave it another perspective

It’s prob one of the most watched events though outside the majors - the stands round the hole now are pretty impressive

Never said he was a weak player.
Just surprised me that the No19 was 2nd fave 🤷‍♂️
I assume that means bookie’s favourite. Which doesn’t mean he’s actually the 2nd Most likely to win.

He was as low as mid 20’s as he had a poor 2023. But has been much better so far this year.

Yeah because bookies just pull prices out of the air 😂

No, they’ll have got it from current form and past results at the course.
But it doesn’t actually mean there is any form of guarantee to their guesses.

Thought it was pretty simple

JT is one of the form players

His last 5 tournaments are

5th , 4th , 3rd , 3rd, 6th

Clearly the bookies would see him as one of the favourites 🤷‍♂️

In bigger news

Phil you & your buddy are clearly missing the point here 🙄
No one said he shouldn’t be 2nd favourite.
I was simply saying I expected a stronger field & if it was the JT wouldn’t be a favourite 🤦‍♂️
