Would like to also add my thanks to Anthony (TXL) for hosting the Camberley day yesterday. Managed to play the course twice for the astonishingly unbelievable sum of £25!!!
Had a great time with Bobmac and Full_throttle (when he eventually turned up!) grin:
Bob played some beautiful golf all the way up to the 18th when he unfortunately let a 2 under gross round slip from his hands finishing with a double to drop back to level par.
Full_throttles handicap should be much lower and he'll definitely get some cuts if he can keep hitting it the way he did yesterday.
Then we had a lovely lunch and went back to Anthony's to charge more gadgets and pick up his son Calvin who I was going to play against while Anthony played his 4 ball knockout match at 16:30.
We played the course this time off the very back blue tees and I have to say the course was simply amazing from these.
Calvin's a 10 handicapper so I ended up giving him 2 shots. He hits the ball as long if not longer than all our forum long hitters....absolutely massive!!
We had a great round, nip and tuck all the way, Calvin used his shots very well and holed some outrageous putts. The match went all the way to the last putt on the last hole with Calvin just pipping it.
He's a credit to Anthony and I hope he can manage to get to one of the forum meets in the near future...he'd fit in very well.
After a welcome pint it was back to Anthony's with a Chinese takeaway and some great laughs with him and his family who have made me feel really welcome over the last two nights.
It was an early start for me and Anthony this morning as we headed off to the Berkshire for 36 holes with the Aircraft Golf Society. More on that later............

It took me about 3 shots to get out of that bunker that Bob was in. Felt like I hit three good wedge shots but the lip on that bunker was evil.
