Many thanks to all those that came to play, I hope the rolling Surrey counryside was not too much of a test :) Seriously, I think the winner on the day was the course with and helping hand from the warm weather :) I had already played a medal round off the blue tees in the morning so in the afternoon, I cheated and got a buggy - very wise move :)

We played off the whites, first group was Richard (richart), Steve (swinger), Chris (Murphthemog) and myself. Chris and I managed 35 pts but I pipped him on the back 9 :) Martin (Homer) came third with 34. I do not recall the other scores but none were a disgrace, especially as it was most peoples first visit.

It was a lot of fun, especially when some of the tales were told in the bar afterwards, I think the strokesaver needs to be consulted and all playing partners informed before blasting away :)

Thanks for organising the day Anthony, the course was a good challenge and the heat made it tougher. Great banter had by all I think. :)

If Homer buys a strokesaver for Blackmoor today, someone else read it for him please :D

Oh and before you mention it.....

I DID wait for the bell before teeing off! :o

I wasn't even going to mention it :) :)

Being at the top of my backswing means the bell went off before I hit the ball which mean I waited for the bell... :o

It also showed I had the honour on the tee!! ;)

Many thanks for arranging camberley yesterday, it was great fun. Very nice golf course, fantastic weather, and good company.

Was coasting to a well earned victory until txl started the gamesmanship on the last. Must remember that one for another time. The old 'you've got too much club there for this hole' routine. Blobbed the last and lost on count back.

Loved the golf course.

Good laugh in the bar afterwards.

Steve(swinger) hits it long. But managed to prove length is not always your friend.

Lesson I learned today, If you are playing with a member of a club, and he pulls a hybrid on a certain tee, don't just mindlessly hit a driver. There is probably a reason.

Anthony just a quick delayed post to say thank you again fir a great Sunday game, one of if not the nicest course I've played although the heat was close to unbarable. Would love to play that again when the heat wasn't so demanding , thanks again

Many thanks Anthony for the day.

Lovely track but caught me a bit off guard with the weather and exercise. Not sure the two and a half pints helped much either.

I can see why you stay fit!

Unlucky on the last Murph, thought you were going to walk it before you tee'd off!

It was also nice to have some company walking the last few which looked like lovely holes.

I think I've lost a stone in body weight due to sweating my go-nads for 2 days. Maybe should try it more often. :)

Camberley was so flat, don't know what the fuss was about! :o ;)

Thanks to Anthony for sorting out the day, you did a cracking job! :)

Thanks for not mentioning names Steve. ;) I told you we would come good at Blackmoor, ye of little faith !

Thanks especially to Anthony for arranging the games, and helping me in vain to look for all the balls I lost. I thought the wedge I hit 160 yards down the tunnel was pretty impressive. Enjoyed your company Murph, and just a shame you let Anthony talk you out of a win !

Have to say I wasn't convinced after Camberley! You did call it though. Very impressive finishing just outside the prizes as host.

I had forgotten all about the wedge shot. Not sure why as I was chuckling quite a lot when it happened! I was a bit upset you didn't play it!!

Some yokel had picked it up, and brought it back to me. I was all for putting it back up the tunnel ;)

I'll tag onto the end of this thread and say a big thanks to Anthony for the round we had at Camberley yesterday. You got the weather perfect as it was warm without the blazing sunshine. I played with TXL and Jan , with Bob , Rick and Fullthrottle (robert) in the late comers group !

No-one in front to worry about and no-one pushing from behind enabled us to enjoy some great banter and soak in the atmosphere. Personally I played my best golf of the 3 days finishing 2 over for 38 points. 2 late bogeys couldnt dampen my spirits because its nice to find you still have some sort of golf game in there lurking in the shadows. Bob came in bang on h/c , shooting level par which included a couple of doubles so good shooting Bob. I have to mention Jan here as all 3 days she played off the mens yellow tees and I'm not surprised her h/c is coming down fast. I never saw her hit one bad shot with the driver and shes got some good length in her too :D Rick did his now familiar paying out of the money :D

Camberley was a lovely course and I truly loved all the elevation changes. A proper visual course and one to keep you guessing on where to place your tee shot and which club to get it there. Room to open your shoulders and tight enough to test your course management.

Thanks again Anthony I think all who played your course had a good time and you're a true gent. I wouldnt hesitate to play there again in the future
