Not voted as I wouldn’t want to play one format. Throw in 4bbb, bowmakers, scrambles, etc and I would be happy. Variety is the spice of life

Not for me. 100% of our friendly golf is matchplay, be it two, three or fourballs.
Stableford. I'd be quite content never playing another medal round again.

Voted Medal - round our course, stableford makes me complacent and I don't feel I play my best.

I’m happy with a mixture of golf, but the only way to find the best golfer is a medal with no handicaps (I know that’s not the question you asked, but I want to challenge myself against those that are better than me)

Golf is hard. It's tough to focus and play well for four long hours. There's nothing worse than ruining a round with a quintuple bogey on the back nine somewhere, one terrible hole and the entire round is in the bin. Stableford is a great system that keeps the round enjoyable even you have a nightmare hole. So that gets my vote.

Happy to play either. Aim is still to get the ball in to the hole in the least number of strokes I can.
You can get splinters in your backside when you sit on a fence like that

Day to day Stableford, most of my day to day stuff is friendly casual or friendly swindles.
but for comps Handicap Strokeplay for me.
Stroke play has to be the real test of one's ability because every shot counts, you can get away occasional bad shots in Stableford and Match play.

Whatever the comp of the weekend is, my place loves a bogey comp! But with mates , swindles , away days and trips it's always stapleford. Nice and easy and gives everyone a good chance.
