Was planning too as I won't be doing anything else tomorrow but the weather has ruined that idea. Tried to get a round today aswell seeing as I've stopped work for a couple weeks and absolutely desperate for a round but the courses around here are nigh on unplayable ATM. Really dislike this time of the year.

What became tradition, at the suggestion of the wife, was me and the grown up lads going to the pub at 12 until 2:30 to get out of the way whilst she prepared dinner.

Even though she wanted us gone, she did moan at the fact we came in p1ssed, ate dinner and fell asleep for the rest of the day. So last year I suggested we play golf instead - she was delighted, until we played golf and came in p1ssed 🤣
Ha ha. So what happens this year.

Complete change, with 'pressure' from in-laws and the like, we have arranged early (open invite 7-10am) bacon sandwiches (and sausage/egg if required) at ours for the grown up kids and grandchildren. Then we've seen everyone, exchanged gifts and they can all enjoy their own day. We are at one of the kids homes for dinner.

Bucks Fizz only she says

Nah, no chance. I've always been heading out to a family gathering, where we do presents in the morning before eating. Even less than no chance now that I have a young daughter as well. Played on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve plenty of times though.

My course is open on Xmas day but the clubhouse is closed. Not sure how they stop strangers getting on for free but anyway.
