Golf courses in Edinburgh on a budget

I live in Edinburgh and played all them.

Firstly are you playing any other courses ? Are these filler courses? Of those you have listed
  • Braid hills - good views but will be busy, and its still a council course despite it being in really great nick now. only short and itll be busy
  • Kilspindie Golf Club - £100 - nice but expensive for what it is.
  • Gullane Golf Club - no 2 and 3 - 2 is probably the best of this list, some great views and a few nice holes, but not a massive fan personally. Its VERY inferior to 1 though, id rather play 3 which is good fun
  • The Glen Golf Club £100 and under - great views but go Gulllane 2 first
  • Kings Arce - not bad but just a typical parkland pay and play
  • Bruntsfield Links Short Hole Golf Course - if you get 30 mins spare fine, but its just a field, dont plan anythign around it.

As Jamie says above in the summer, Bruntsfield, Mortonhall, Burgess, Duddingston are the best inside Edinburgh (and id rank them in that order). Though all could be expensive for a peak guest time.

The one that i think fits the bill accross all your asks is Dalmahoy East - normally in great nick in summer.
