Odyssey putters

What's everyone's verdict? I posted on here a while ago about how I was going to treat myself to a (fairly) good putter to last me a long time, and then in a month or two get myself a set of irons to do the same (currently rocking some 20+ year old Wilson irons and putters from gumtree!)

got out myself some callaway v series woods and a razr x black driver (pre owned) for Christmas to complete my bag (never had any woods) so now it's about upgrading The rubbish irons and putter.

seems a a decent price for a good putter that I've tried out in AG before. Any advice? I've emailed to ask if it comes with a head over because I'd like to keep it in good condition!

I think they make some of the best putters out there personally. Of course they are many others but they have a wide range aswell

When I got back into golf in 2012 after giving up at 17 due to breaking my arm I purchased a second hand ping putter.. nothing fancy.. did alright

end of the season 2013 american golf did one of their offers £25 for any putter you trade in against a new putter

so I went to the garage got my £8 ram putter from my youth and gave them that. tried lots of new putters the one that felt the best and I liked the most was a callaway white hot pro rossie (2013 model). £99 normally (I thought wow thats a lot for a putter.. little did I know really.. thats entry level!) paid £74 and was very happy. Putting improved a lot

have toyed with a scotty since but do I really want to spend nearly £300 to replace something im comfortable with? drivers I can get why people change.. new tech.. or just for the sake.. but a putter is something would take a lot for me to change.. maybe winning one for free with a custom fit.. or I broke mine

I had a super stroke slim 2.0 fitted over the weekend because I wanted a bigger grip has helped even more

id rather that than change the putter!

bottom line

great putters

Don't see many like mine either.

I have a two ball as well..........put some extra weight, 50g, in it over the winter to give it a bit of oompth. As the club that ultimately finishes the hole for you and gets you the points it is one that you will fall in and out of love sometimes. Just find one that you like the feel of and then stick with it.......rife through this little blimps.....form is temporary and all that

Good luck!

Bought a White Hot Havok putter last January and found it tough going to start with on the winter greens. Took an inch off the original 34'' length at the start of the season and it has certainly bedded in well. Not saying I wouldn't swap it for anything but certainly in no hurry to get rid.

Got a Odyseey 2 ball works Fang with the superstroke grip for nothing with the AG double trade in and love it. Rolls superbly wanted a heavy head to try and keep it square going back. Really improved my confidence on the greens

Pro type have ( /had the mate had it over a year now) mine a no9 tho @ 350g as well its got a nice bit of weight there too.

Must say I use a 7 now. It must easier to line up but the white hot insert is no match for a mill forged on the pro type.

You won't see any of them any time soon. I heard somewhere that the cost in make the forged mill face putter were just to high. The pro type on day new was over 200 that's big money for a Odyssey.

I've had a few odyssey putters and they certainly make quality products and a wide enough range to find something for most people.

I used a white hot xg #7 for quite a while and currently use a works #9.

I was very happy with it until I read about the new line that Mickelson had to have before the Ryder cup and has made McIlroy switch from his Scotty. Bugger.

Pleased to say I took a trip to AG to try it out one more time before buying, mentioned the click golf deal and got it price matched. Now the proud owner of the putter!

hope it helps me stop 3 putting!

I've been using a White Steel No 1 for 8 or 10 years and it still feels good in hand.

I had a quick look on ebay to try and find a link but all I could find was an "Odyssey White Damascus ix No 1" which looks like a Fancy-Dan version brought out a couple of years ago for silly money.
