Surely you're missing the point. There is a difference between hunting around for a good deal and scrambling as part of a mob, pushing past people and, in some cases, getting into a fight and knocking people over to get your deal.
There are ways and ways of doing things. The Bun Fight that is Black Friday instore is depressing.

You haven't been in my local tesco when they get the yellow sticker close to date stuff out! It's like Black Friday every day!!!

The thing to remember is that for some families it's the only way they can afford their food.
Mind you, seeing some of the people there, that's not always the case.
