:Dok to set the scene. i have the RBZ standard regular shaft and after a few weeks of bliss i cant get on with it. so with a bit of advice and knowledge from a fellow forumer and mizuno fitter ive purchsed a different shaft!!!!!
so ive got a made for callaway aldila ripd nv 60 stiff in it and its slightly shorter. so folks place your bets will i get on with it and my faith restored in the RBZ.:mmm::mmm: hopefully the night if the weather gets better i will give it a go. :whoo:

In what way were you not getting on with the last shaft? too high too low, too soft, too long?

i reckon the shaft was way to light, i really had no idea where the club head was during my swing. had to revert to my old driver for confidence. but prepared to try this out and if it fails punt the driver on and get properly fitted by an independant fitter. my first big mistake in golfing equipment and my last:rolleyes:

I had a burner that was like that, gosh it had some carry on it but it was so long and light that it always felt like a bit of a lottery. I predict that you will get along with the changes.

believe it is slightly heavier but all testing will be done in a controlled environment:rolleyes: , if all else fails i will move the driver on. but i wanted to give it one last chance before admitting defeat.

Im predicting high power fades, coupled with the odd low hook. This will be followed by 1 shot of pure brilliance which will fool you into thinking that it really is the club for you, leading to an extended run in the bag, in which time your handicap will rise like a cat thats just been thrown in a bath.. What do I get if I win? Please don't tell me its an RBZ with a Cally shaft in it....

I tried the RBZ and the R11S in the stock shafts. The RBZ was ok however with the R11S I had exactly the same problem however I didn't feel that it was the driver shaft but the weight and aerodynamics of the head.

The Titleist 910 and Callaway Razr Fit felt much better to swing and I opted with the Razr fit with the Aldila RIP NV. It is a very light shaft which is low spin however I tend to get a high flight out of it.

My guess is that if your natural shot is a fade you'll get exactly the same shot with possibly more distance.I think if TM had invested more in the RBZ shaft it would have been a much better club.

initially it will be fine, in the same way as the stock shaft was (by your own admission)

once you start trying to establish what you can do with it (as opposed to what it can do) it will probably go downhill again...

my burner superfast was in and out of the bag for 8 months, in favour of previous Burner models I still have, until I finally had to accept that it wasn't the club!

Ive gota RBZ TOUR driver, Matrix Ozik xcon 6 Stiff, had 3 rounds with it, mixed results:confused:
Ive just had it shortened, was almost 46'' , reduced it to 45'', I dont believe anything should be longer than 45''
So going to give it a try out tuesday, last chance saloon
Ive also borrowed ( from a mate ) a UST Mamiya ATTAS shaft to try with the club too
I like the head, but losing faith with Taylormade 'Stock' shafts.........getting poorer I reckon

Wild slices when you swing too quickly and I'll chuck in a few low hooks for good measure when you try and compensate. Personally if the RBZ was working when you first got it I'd have had a pro look at my swing before forking out on the new shaft. Surely a cheaper option

wot makes you think my natural shot is a fade,:whoo: lol

ok folks after 3 hours hitting proper balls up and down a fairaway, the results are in. after my first hit straight as a dye about 250 into the wind. it went down hill then uphill. dont think i will ever have a draw but can live with a power fade. old driver is 12 degree this one set at upright and 10.5. im getting more distance and a lower flight with slight fade. but i really think the clubhead and its face are really 'hot' as in it flies off the face compared to my r7 cgb max if that makes sense. tempted to try a r 9 head on this shaft. will see how things go but is all this hassle needed for a strong flight into the wind, time will tell.
on another note my new scotty is the dogs bol you know:whoo:

Was thinking the same, hour with the pro would be enough to be creaming it again.
