Leap year and we have an extra day. It's a Saturday. So for you will it be same old same old - or will you maybe use this 'extra' day to try something different; something new; take a risk; do something that you've mean meaning to do but have been prevaricating over; make that awkward or difficult telephone call; say sorry to someone you've hurt in the past. Take a leap of 'faith'... consider it a once every four year opportunity...?

Me? Dunno yet...I'm thinking. What might you do?

As Crow says it’s not really an extra day - instead of being the 1st March on the Saturday it’s now the 29th Feb and everything just shifts a day - i suspect we will all do the same on 29th Feb that we would have done if it was the 1st March. It’s pretty much nothing really is it - beyond the old “a lady can propose” to a man etc

What I mean is that you can consider it an extra day...and do something different or challenging based simply upon that. Yes it's a Saturday - but that doesn't stop us deciding to do something different or whatever - just that one February 29th we get every four years.

Same thing indi every Saturday get told off for forgetting to do something on Friday and like most other people won't even notice its the 29th February, its just another day.

You could get married, and save on anniversaries

Some girls will be using this ‘extra’ once-every-four-years day to ask their beau for his hand in marriage...

Maybe I’ll choose to not play golf and suggest to Mrs Hogie that we go a nice long walk somewhere, or go up to London for a matinee show, and afterwards have a meal out. Something we never do on a Saturday as I play and that I know she’d enjoy. After all - it’s only once every four years so not much of a sacrifice on my part ?
