LIV Golf

Bryson may not be the best player in the world but he is the biggest name/draw/personality in pro golf.

For me Liv should get the chequebook out to resign him no matter the cost.

For LIV he is big player

He has a lot of followers on social media and LIV should use that

Rahm is on the biggest contract. Are LIV going to offer him a bigger one

Surely that would be Bryson seeing YT more appealing than renewing his LIV contract OR rejoining the PGA tour.

Bryan’s YT videos get views in the millions.
To suggest all he does is chip over his house is either very naive or clueless 🤷‍♂️

I also reckon Grant is more recognisable to more US amateur golfers under the age of 40,than 90% of professional golfers.
YT golf is HUGE!

Why is it stupid ?

He is a professional sportsman , doing all the yt stuff in time when there aren’t comps is all good but when you aren’t doing comps and just YT stuff surely there will be a ceiling at what can be done to keep it all fresh

The stuff he can do on YT is endless.

Maybe Bryson doesn’t want to play competitive golf for much longer? Who knows.

Giving up a competitive career and Ryder Cups etc does seem very extreme

He has always been a marmite character and YouTube might be the best home for him

But LIV need him more , lose him and it’s prob the start of the end

What happens if he gets a career ending injury?
What happens when his playing days are over?

I see loads of people making this point, it’s just a very short sighted view of not just LIV, but the pro game in general.

And a golfers playing days can last longer that a lot of other sports playars if they want

But right now and for the next ten years plus he will be at the prime

No doubt somebody is gonna tell me that pushing National Opens to be more prominent is a bad idea…

Is he wanting to copy Rory 😉

Many have highlighted that all the main national opens around the would should be boosted above a standard tour event and below the majors

Scottish
Irish
French
Italian
Spanish
South African
Aus
China
Turkey
Japan
Canada

As prob the main ones

Oh Rory been mentioned again on the LIV thread by the same culprit there’s a surprise. I hope LIV can get loads of national opens what will Rory do then refuse to play them 🤣

Why can’t people just let LIV evolve and see where it goes instead of having to constantly try and drag it down. Let everyone get on with running their tours how they see fit and if that means national opens fair play. Doesn’t mean it was Rory’s idea for god sake.

O'Neil isn't a pro golfer, so maybe this may have been more relevant

It’s very much something that shoold have been done a long time ago

Instead of invites from winners of the multiple PGAT events which doesn’t help any other tour get people to their events

Multiple players last season branched out playing in Opens

There's a very long list of players who probably thought they'd have at least another ten years at the top only to have a career threatening/ending/detailing injury or illness.

No-one is immune to such things.

I don’t think there is a long list of top golfers who were at the top of their game late 20’s early 30’s to then have their career cut short due to injury

And certainly no one that decided to stop playing tournament golf apart from majors
