LIV Golf

It’s a very good strategy (and good for the player) if you manage to pick up decent players who just have a temporary injury issue that has dropped them out of the PGAT

It’s a terrible strategy if you pick up players who are just in permanent decline or have an untreatable injury issue but can ride you for a few years of easy cash by phoning it in.

Will certainly test their selection skills to sort the wheat from the chaff, but could work well if they can pull it off.

IMO If they want to attract really really top players now they need to achieve OWGR status....

Perez is way better than Kjetterup (Not Hard I Know) so you could say they have strengthened the roster..

Im more interested to see what they do with replacing relegated Stenson or crucially will they replace Stenson.

Replacing Mito Perrera with Abe Ancer is a strong move by Torque.

Masaveu is a prospect but nowhere near the levels that Ancer is at - but makes Los Bolas de Fuego a completely Spanish team, while Torque remain fully South American with Abe being from Mexico.

Luis did finish 2025 in 52nd place, and in the relegation zone, but he only played 9 events - he averaged 33rd place, with a best finish of T14, which would have seen him safe over the season .... before anybody questions why he's coming back after being relegated....

Good for Masaveu, he'd shown some promise - just one week, but he finished above Ancer today.
May be better to say Torque remains a Latin American team 😉

I enjoyed this quote.

"To return to the league with Majesticks GC is a huge honour, and they bring a standard of excellence, ambition, and identity that really resonates with me. I can’t wait to get started and contribute to what this team is building"

I must have seen a different standings table for the Majesticks to the one he has joined.

Big decision to choose Liv over a crack at the PGA Tour.

2nd year running that has happened

It’s prob clear to see why some would make that choice - it’s the same with a lot of the decisions , financially - Canter will earn more money regardless of performance where as the PGAT card would come with financial rewards and open doors into the majors if the player plays well

Don't follow what you are trying to say here: "Canter will earn more money regardless of performance".

Wherever people play, if you perform well you earn more than if you play poorly.
