LIV Golf

It's amazing how little Liv can bother you if you don't watch it, don't read about it and just ignore it

Haven't watched a liv event since cam smiths first I think it was

Yet some who claim to hate liv spend their whole life jumping up and down saying how bad it is

Who cares man

Was Koepka and DJ deemed past it ?

I know Koepka himself said he was worried about how well he could compete in the future after his bad knee injury

Are you confusing them with others ?

And a reigning US Amateur is not going to get people turning the channel over to watch it

Just like I doubt many will be jumping to watch the best amateur in the world when he plays on the PGAT

LOL! At Luke Clanton's presser, didn't all the LIV guys tell the same lie right before going to LIV?

"It’s not about the money... I want to compete in majors." - don't think any LIV sign-ups went quite this far; i.e. gaslighting while simultaneously forfeiting a major exemption to turn professional (for the money) just one week before said major.

The level of money on both tours is ridiculous

You can see why Young am’s would take up a spot even for a short time on LIV because even if they play poorly they are prob set up for life where as going onto the PGAT they will need to earn the money through performances

I guess through time it will see who made the better choice

Clanton for turning down LIV to play PGAT events

Or Ballester going to LIV

I attended the LIV Golf Virginia event today. I honestly didn't really know what to expect and never watched more than 10 minutes of their events prior to today. While the weather was pretty bad and there were delays, I think I preferred attending the LIV event to any PGA tour event I've been too. Parking was easy, there were lots of shuttle buses, relatively good flow to the course, reasonable concessions, free water filling stations and most importantly there weren't crowds (probably not great for LIV). There were also some big names in the mix today with lots of birdies. I'm not a huge fan of music playing but it was really only near clubhouse and even the last PGA tour event I went to (Truist) had music blaring on the walk to the course. The atmosphere felt more like amateur events I've gone to (Walker, US Am, North/South) but with very smooth event organization. I think the team aspect is kind of weird for golf but does add interest.

Rules of golf need tweaking - if players were given a general penalty for hitting the tee marker (so moving it), they'd soon stop.

In all seriousness I think a one or two shot ‘ungentlemanly conduct’ penalty could be applied at the absolute discretion of each match’s referee

It’s not exactly an anomaly, as penalty shots are applied for all sorts of reasons in golf

Perhaps a two-stroke penalty could be applied following an official warning from the referee following each game?

edit: same for slow play (though that’s more a PGA Tour issue)

Can’t see from the camera shot; did he hit the marker towards anyone else? If so then that changes things massively from amusing and harmless strop to deliberately and recklessly endangering other people - which in my mind should be a disqualification and probably more sanctions on top.
