Please tell us you're not basing your opinions on a scenario that only exists in Backsticks head.

LIV golfers haven't "left the main golfing world". The only place they have been excluded from is the PGA Tour. Away from that, there has, and continues to be, a lot of crossover with traditional tours (particularly the Asian Tour) and majors - more than sufficient to maintain the mathematical integrity of any rankings.

As far as I'm aware, the only reason that many of the LIV players are attracted towards Asian Tour events is to gain world ranking points. I'd imagine that would stop pretty quickly if LIV started to gain world ranking points, especially if those points were actually high enough to actually be worth anything within the entire golfing sphere. I can't imagine the leading players will then be playing all these Asian Tour events, so you are then only left with a few of the top LIV guys playing in 4 Majors. Probably not enough events and players to provide a lot of confidence that points can then be dished out fairly in LIV only events. And with very few freshly ranked players entering LIV from other Tours, again difficult to rank LIV only events.

So, I still don't believe the OWGR are denying LIV ranking points on a whim or because the PGAT is telling them to. I believe them when they say it is very difficult to do it equitably.

I’m not trolling buddy, I’m posting information that is being put out there by a guy who’s been extremely close to the PGAT for a very long time.
By all means, question the credibility of the info, just as I’ll question the trust you have placed in the integrity of the OWGR voting arrangements.

Trevor, LIV was NEVER going to get points. Why? 1)it’s a monopoly run by all the governing bodies 2) the PGA Tour tv contract is based on owgr criteria for them to get all their money 3) they would lose leverage in negotiations if LIV got points4) last but not least, Tour has BORROWED against the tv deal! If they don’t hit their bench marks and don’t get all their tv money(from CBS they will have an immediate capital call.

Most leagues make relegation a key feature - you know this. It's just refreshing to see it in golf, where the norm is for players to drop off tours without causing a ripple.
