LIV Golf

I’ve said many months back on here that in order for the Saudis to fulfill their intentions to transform their economy, they HAVE to change the very things that people are rightly critical of them as a nation.

There was an interesting interview with Paul Casey from the DC event, and Bryson said something along the same lines in a TV interview - but we may well be about to see a nation restructure itself in order to gain worldwide acceptance.

This is for me, an intriguing side story to what the Saudis have done thus far in golf, and other sports as well.

Rory and others have seriously been thrown under the bus by Monaghan, however it will really show Rory and others as I predicted months ago to be the biggest hypocrites in the long term.
Others on here will also change their arguments to suit.
Money talk’s always has always will.
The love of money however much you have will always prevail over humanity.

Phil, you're so short sighted!
Now PIF have made this agreement with the PGA they will stop persecuting homosexuals, axe the chopping up of western journalists, they'll allow girls full education, & they'll give women the same rights as men and stop sponsoring islamic terrorism.
This is literally all they've been waiting for (y)

I mean they’ll get a football World Cup next which we will all gladly gobble up 😉👍

Rory jumps into bed with the Saudis
He resigned to the fact they have more money than most people so will have to except it.
Or stick by your morals (no chance).
As I said and will always say he is the biggest hypocrite.
He bashed the Liv boys and has befriended many.
Greed promotes greed

I actually barely watched any of the last one. not because it was in ISIS land, but because of match timings (which I imagine will be the same for Saudi if it were to get it).

You do have to admire Rory and how hard he is sticking to his role as the PGA tour lapdog.

I expected him to be outraged about being hung out to dry but no, whatever the PGA tour want to do is good by him.

Having watched Rory's press conference im less confident this new merger is going to actually happen..

What choice does Rory, or any of them, have..?
The merger is going to happen, the Saudi money is coming in whether he likes it or not.
He's been thrown under the bus and he's got 2 choices..go with the flow and accept it or walk away and retire at 34......
He still wants to win Majors so he's going to suck it up and go with it.
Grudgingly.

Well, he fronted up..... answers were quite unsatisfactory and also it seems he's missing some pieces of the puzzle. Still, he took the presser and answered and that has to be respected; remains a 'company man' even thought he company itself has totally backtracked. I hope that his time on the Advisory Council is now untenable and he can just go back to playing & winning golf tournaments.
