What’s the lock zone ? Is that more people qualifying to stay in ?
Having more people losing cards or having more of a turnover will certainly help with points and gives a pathway
Their issue is who are the players coming in to replace those leaving

Yeah, equivalent of 'keeping your card'.
Discusses also increasing the 'losing card' spots also.
So reducing the middle ground.

I thought the biggest barrier to getting ranking points was the team element? If they still have a team event, I can't see how they can get points, even if they change everything else.

I’m pretty sure without checking that the OWGR had said the team element wouldn’t stop LIV getting ranking points. The closed nature of the league was always the sticking point. It looks like this is now getting resolved.

Appreciate it is normal for this thread to go around & around.
Ultimately the current owgr committee will decide one way or another. And then we'll know.
On their website it states:
"Where a tournament includes an individual element with an approved format and a team element (where two competitions run concurrently), the individual element of that tournament will be regarded as an Eligible Format."
Whilst I generally have time for Mr Dawson, I do think he didn’t cover himself in glory with his opinions at this time.
Have a guess at the make % at 40 feet!
Like any player can 'decide'.
And quoting someone with a mic put in front of them just after failing to win, not speaking in their native language.
Granted it was a stupid excuse to come up with by Munoz for not quite playing well enough.

It's just a tenuous example - and the only one as far as I know.
And, it's no different to if he'd been 1 shot behind in any other tournament with a bunch of 3 or 4 guys 1 shot behind waiting to snatch a bunch of prize money away - any player would execute the putt in the same way - if it misses leave yourself an easy one.

Some of the articles were taken down and refuted later yesterday .
It looks like Si Woo Kim is being offered the ownership stake in Ironheads, and he wants to bring his own players - Danny Lee is the one he'd keep. If that's the case, it's obviously a complexed deal to get done.

Lots of mood music that Koepka isn't going to fulfill his last year of his contract on Liv (2026).
Apparently the net result of that would be at least a year (2026) suspended from the PGA Tour and lose the equity in his team.
However he could be welcome to play a DPWT season while he waits for PGA Tour status.
If all that happens who becomes captain of Smash GC ?
