in your opinion!Guys, you do all realise that Rahm's move forces all the LIV guys back onto your TV's in the near future don't you. Within 2 years, you will be watching the most enthralling golf you've ever had access to.

I'm all for LIV - but this is rather too bold.
The Ryder Cup is this and always will be.
Looking forward to seeing Rahmbo at JCB though!
Sports washing does work it seems.
What, like before LIV, when almost all of the top players competed against each other on a regular basis...Guys, you do all realise that Rahm's move forces all the LIV guys back onto your TV's in the near future don't you. By on TV, do you mean Sky?I don't care who's playing. So long as they are bloody good (which they all are) I'll watch, assuming I have nothing better to be doing at the time, and it's on TV.

I’ve made this point before on this thread, the Saudis have to change their position in human rights, discrimination etc. Their aspirations to be a world economic and tourism hub won’t succeed if they are executing people because of their sexuality.
If you study KSA, you can see these changes starting to be implemented - so while people (quite rightly) call out the Saudis for their HR issues, we should also acknowledge that they recognise they have issues that need addressing.
The country is the base of an outdated religion (aren’t they all?) that drives their legal system - they live by the Quar’an - and they won’t discard that overnight.
It’s a shame we can’t do political discussion, particularly on this topic as it’s very relevant.
I hope you understand that Saudi Arabia has absolutely no intention to actually change. Perceived change is all they’re interested in, aka sportswashing.
In fact, they have done everything they can to spread their religion further across the world. The end goal is to have a whole world that changes to act more like Saudi, not Saudi changing to act more like the rest of the world.
At least sportswashing works, though.
apart from Mel as i think he's fan but doesn't like to mention itSeparate post relating to Rahm:
I’m still not convinced that paying $570m to a bloke to get him to join your tour is a particularly brilliant way to show everyone how great your product is. In fact, I think that highlights, more than ever, that the product is dreadful.
However, whilst I don’t think it adds much value to LIV, I think it takes away a huge amount of value from the PGA Tour.
The result is still the same though, nobody cares about LIV and nobody is going to watch it.
And once more, there are no positives for any golf fan in this news, another top player wants to play exhibition golf and it’s 1 less big name playing regularly in the proper golf. It sucks.
Can you send me the source of that info buddy - would love to digest it.
Can you send me the source for the nonsense within the post that I replied to? Would love to digest it.
Buddy
Sad day for golf.
Saudi money seems to be buying up world sport.
On a channel that I getBy on TV, do you mean Sky?
I've just watched a bit of the LIV promotions event on my TV this morning...
What many people don’t realise is that many PGAT Tour sponsors do business in Saudi. Seems a bit double standards by many to accept money from a company based outside Saudi when the money originates from Saudi.
24 in the USA this year, not a small number either with 2,400 on death row as wellThe proof is in thepuddingbeheadings

would indicate to me that they are in fact doubling down on their behaviour, whilst their sportswashing campaign works hard in the background on the simpletons
Pretty much any of top pga tournaments... The farmers, WM phoenix, Genisis, Arnold palmer, the players, RBC heritage, the memorial, the travelers, the Scottish open.. , St Jude, BMW championship, Fed Ex final... I'm not sure how diluting the fields are going to make for any more viewing pleasure for the general public..They didn't though.
Outside of the Majors, which events would you be guaranteed to see the vast majority of the top players going head to head?
