Those not interested, and not planning to watch/follow, feel free to scroll on by. TIA

Now it seems finalised (for now), reflecting that overall perceived strength has gone up a little from the part year. As expected (for me), no new top 20 names joining but feels like several teams may be more evenly matched than last year. Remains to be seen how that plays out and the general reaction to it.
Couple of players I was interested to see if they made it into teams, but didn't, are Adrian Ortaegui & Sadom Kaewkanjana. Of course that may be their choice. Swafford going injured for most of the year does remind how precarious pro golf can be.
I'm sticking by my original view, that I'll judge it after a year.

Have to say the recruits this year have been very poor if they are looking to move that needle a bit more.

And i thought Sadom was the big superstar 🤷‍♂️

I thought they would have got someone from the PGAT in the top 20 - a Cantlay etc

Looks like it’s all a bit flat

I would have agreed (recruits) early last summer, but I don’t think many expected the PGAT to react as big (financially) , or as quickly as they did. Those top few PGAT players now have far more influence than ever before, and may be pushing further changes. Rory banked a truck load of wonga last year & Rahm etc. will this year. Hence I expected them to stay put and maybe see how this year pans out, how liv goes, whether they have to change format and iron out issues (or they jack it in!). And how the PGAT changes bed in.

A bit old, Scott (not top 20) on how basing himself back in US due to the schedule changes.

I hadn't realised afternoons were prime time viewing in the states.
Assumed part of the drive to TV in the US was to pacify/lure the senior US audience, many who couldn't manage streaming. (PGAT average viewer age alleged to be 64). The same demographic were oft quoted with not liking golf in 'other time zones'.
Agree it does seem odd though, generally sports are live or highlights only for me.

It’s going to wither away

They gave it a good go but need a bottomless pit of billions- even then they really only got one real current star - Smith and that’s down to the Norman Aussie connection

They have failed to get sponsers , major media deals , no further major stars

No one in the top 20 will go now - suspect they have made a strong commitment to the PGAT

I don’t think it will be long before we see some looking to move back the other way

The legendary LPhil crystal ball ! 😂🤣😉

Maybe, I dunno. Prefer to wait and see.
Same as I don't know if Honda pulling out of hosting is just a coincidence, or a sign post.
Bet Jay would love Tiger to stop saying he only wants to play in the majors though 💵 💸

Isn’t Honda pulling out more to do with the way the elevated events are scheduled around it so they know the field will prob be the weaker one

I didn't mention 'prime time', just maximising viewers. I'd like to think they (CW) employ folk who know about optimising viewers etc. And there's 4 time zones to consider too.
I am sure they do, and they realise to optimise their total advertsing revenue, putting LiV on prime time is not going to be very helpful. I can see for them the attraction of having consistent timing across the tournaments, be interesting then to see the viewing figures for those on delay. Can't see many trying to do a Terry and Bob (something for the younger viewers;)), in the age of social media in order to watch as if it was Live.
