Kuch 3rd time around!

Spot on really. He's said exactly what those of us defending him said. They made a deal, he paid him more than the deal, then later offered him even more than the deal which was declined. I think he's been perfectly fair.

"this seems to be a social media issue more than anything. I think it shouldn’t be, knowing that there was a complete, agreed-upon deal that not only did I meet but exceeded."

Precisely.

Wonder why it hit social media in the first place. Not really nice when someone takes advantage of you!

It says why in the article. Apparently some bitter vindictive chap named Tom Gillis tweeted it out.

And no, it's not nice when someone tries to take advantage, but hopefully Kuch can forgive the caddy for that and move on.

Would it have ever been a story if he'd rewarded him appropriately. I think we all know that answer.

Dreadful PR for Kuch, taking advantage of cheap local labour.

Just for comparison

You're on hols in Asia and can get a handmade tailored suit for £35
You order it and you're happy with it, so do you now pay £1000 because you can afford it and that's what it would cost if someone else in Savile row would get for the work?

Firstly I wouldn't go to Asia, secondly I don't wear a suit to work so I'd highly unlikely go and get measured for a suit in the first place.

Hypothetically if I did and it was a great fit at a great price I would happily hand the tailor a generous tip.

The fact that Kuch's management offered more money tells you how embarrassing it is for Kuch and them. Why make the gesture if it's not hurting you??

An absolute PR disaster for Kuch.

What a crap analogy, it’s absolutely nothing like this.

Every time you shop you are talking advantage of cheap local labour.

Clothing, electrical goods and, of course, golf equipment.

My clubs are made in the USA.

My clubs are all fitted by a local professional and assembled in the UK.

My shoes are probably the most sweat shop orientated being Skechers.

Shafts, heads, grips. Which of those are actually made in the USA as opposed to be being branded by US companies?

Shoes, clothing, gloves all take advantage of low labour costs in the developing world.

Do you not feel dirty now, wearing your Sketchers?

Good shoes though, and that is the problem. I have several pairs.

Fairway rollin pod cast were commenting on the Kuch story, and were saying they won't be buying Sketchers anytime soon. It is bad publicity for the brand, no doubt.

Just read the statement from him on the Golf Monthly page, have to say it's pathetic.

Isn't he one of the tour's God Botherers too?

That last line is not only irrelevant but also offensive.

Rubbish comparison, let’s put it in a real life golfing scenario.

If you were playing a skins game with some mates, and were lucky enough to walk off the 18th as the winner, and £130 better off. Would you think 50p an acceptable cut to give to the junior who was out caddying for you?

No, but I might buy him a coke in the spike bar.

I'd expect a man who trumpets his faith to be more generous to his fellow (more humble) men.

Can you quote an instance where he has "trumpeted" his faith.

In any event what bearing would his personal religious beliefs have upon this.
