Family Christmas present last year is on this weekend. Going to the big track at Warrington. There will be four of us on the track two taking pictures. We're highly competitive. I usually win out, but I'm expecting my lad to come out on top on this one. He'd better do, being the F1 fan. LOL

It's ON !

I did it in Newcastle on a stag, but it didn't really do it for me. Once I'd been round the track four or five times it just felt like endless repetition of the same thing after that. It didn't even bother finishing the session, steered into the pits with like 15 mins remaining and got out.

Woah, You didn't get your moneys worth!?!?!?!? You must really hate karting

Having oversized cojones usually makes up for any lack of 'skills' or in my case carrying way too much extra poundage... The fella that ran our local operation, many moons ago, would always take me to one side for my own personal drivers briefing... Good times ...

Cool story bro

I'm a heavy lad and I will never win a race but I love karting. Done it a few times in Leeds. Might be time to take the kids for a go as we have the biggest outdoor track in the UK near us. Could be an 'arrange a game' thing followed by a game of golf?

Sounds a bit like a mate, who went on a stag... Part of the gig was having a play with Kalashnikovs... He reported all the others seemed to be getting a lazy lob on, doing it, yet it didn't blow up his dress in any way whatsoever...

I'm a tall skinny one and I thought I could take out the much larger guy. However, he drove like a pro and I couldn't keep up! I blame tyre pressures

You should've just driven the wrong way round the track then - that would've made it more interesting for you!! ;) :D

Cam, get two and think of it as powered roller skating.

I did it on a work social thing about 10 years ago at Caxton (closed now apparently) We did an endurance race with teams of three I think, where you did a stint of about 15 mins each and then pitted to change driver. It meant you got a rest for a while.

Love karting. Been to Rogue Racing in Aylesbury a few times. Decent track and karts. Always a good craic.

If you're on the Algarve and fancy a change from golf, the karting at the Autodromo is brilliant.

I am in Vilamoura in September - this looks like a possibility. Can you just turn up on spec and do 30 minutes karting or do you need to book in advance? Cheers

I did exactly the same about ten years back, in King's Cross though. That was alright although I let my team down badly. :D

My son wanted a paintball experience for his 21st which I duly arranged with a dozen of his mates. One didn't turn up and I elected to take his place so sides were evenly numbered, or so I thought until all of them turned against me it it turned out to be an eleven to one massacre!
