Just in from a friendly 4ball match which was played in a very very strong wind,probably a 2 clubber but for the final 5 holes at times up to a 3 club wind.
The pairings were me and my pal Elvis (3 & 6 hcp) versus Screwback and Ayro (Scr and 9 hcp).
The course was in superb condition and there was some splendid golf played by all four with me and Screwback netting 13 birdies between us and a better ball of 7 under even with a couple of bogeys!
Unbelievably the other 2 didn't manage a birdie between them but both reeled off par after par and I don't think I have seen either of them drive the ball as well as they did!!
A great match ended with my pairing winning 3&1 with a birdie at 17 and it's a long while since I have enjoyed a game so much with some wonderful golf shots being played like knock down 120 yard 6 irons and 360 yard drives!
No doubt my next 4 rounds will net me zero birdies!!
