How much would you BET on your skills/ability?

I'm happy to play for a few quid on the Saturday roll up but rarely if ever play for money. It isn't what its about for me. I don't enjoy it won or lose and would rather have a friendly game with anyone, enjoy the banter and try and shoot the best score on that day. If I win then great, if not then I'll get the beers in after

Playing for more than a few quid is a recipe for disaster IMO, if it's between mates it could cause fall outs when you play for to much, and if it's a stranger trying to get you to play for £50 then the chances a he's a lot better than he's letting on. Then come the intricacies of rule bending/cheating etc.
Not worth it IMO, couple of quid is my limit although I'm fairly confident I could hold my own against a lot of players either match play or medal format, stable ford and I wouldn't bet with anybody using YOUR money.

I've fished at the top level for a lot of money, played darts for a lot of money when I was younger but with golf, dodgy handicaps and forum bandits who can hit a 7 iron 200yds and a driver 300 yds not a chance on earth.

The odd £1 - £5, a ball or beers in the bar afterwards with players I know, it's not a problem but when you start to up the odds it gets too serious and can get personnel so it's simply not worth it as I play golf to enjoy it.
