So the rule is you need to have unique identification on your ball so that you do not play the wrong ball. So what do you use to identify your ball?

I've recently started marking all my 333's with a large smiley face so when I roll in a putt, like Tigers nike logo, it shows before it rolls in and makes me think, come on boy keep on trucking.

Do you mark your own balls or buy balls with a specific logo on them?

Red circle round the number on both sides and a red line down one side, all the balls in my bag are marked the same but add a blue dot if im playing a provisional

I put my initials on mine

I played with a fella a few years ago, who drew a smiley face for the first 6 holes, then a face with a 'straight smile' (if you know what I mean) for the middle 6, then a sad face for the last 6 holes.

It didn't seem to affect how he played

I use 4 green dots - one above, one below and one either side of the logo.
This but in orange or red, which proves a point I've always tried to make. It seems there are a few common ways which people mark.

During the softer months I use ad333 and found one in the summer marked identical to how I mark mine, but on a course 5 miles from my home course. I'd never lost a ball there yet one of my srixon's there, scary!

But you are a bit wayward mate!

Minimalist - 3 small dots around the ball numbers. I like my balls to be white and pristine and not plastered in hieroglyphics!

Red circle around the number - both sides...

This is one of those daft bits in the rules.
They say you "should" mark your ball so you can identify it - no obligation
BUt if you don't and you hit your ball into the rough or lose sight of it, how can you be 100% sure it's yours when you find it if you haven't put a mark on it?
It should be a requirement to mark your ball....

Initials between brand and number. Might think of something better... Also sometimes draw a full line round for alignment....
