What's your view?
Not on the 5 (universal?) dress code points above, but on being asked to tell other members and friends to go and change?

White socks? Why do sock colours matter on a golf course. I'm all for dress codes but thats got to be a wind up

I'd have to ask for clarification on what constitutes a predominantly white sock to ensure I was interpreting the law correctly.

Didn't see it that way about white socks - I'm pretty sure that would refer to when wearing shorts.
Our club enforces that.
One of my pals had it mentioned to him after his round but I've seen loads of the "old guard" ignore the rule.

Any decent chap knows that a gentleman never goes to the club without a jacket and tie although in summer some of the impertinent youngsters say that a cravat is quite sufficient at least before the sun falls beneath the yard arm. Next thing you will have working men and the fair sex trying to join!

I'd be getting changed in the car then.
I live and work in denim so I'd have to change troos in the car, then change shoes in the changing room....

Certainly not a club I'd be visiting. What kind of sick individual wears socks with sandals????
& the problem with shorts with side pockets is????

Anyone who wears (any colour of) socks with sandals is bound to have a dodgy handicap, avoid at all costs ;)

You could point that there are faults in grammar, syntax or logic with every sentence in the body of the note!

Standards are indeed slipping!

That said, they are not unreasonable Dress Standards.

I don't think I'd be prepared to tell other players that they are not adhering to them though!
