I will repeat again...

I'm not going to get into the specifics of individual infractions or bans but I will say the following

All users receiving an infraction or ban have it explained to them why they are being sanctioned

In all cases to date users who have been banned have been warned (sometimes repeatedly) about their conduct and the implications of not modifying their posting style laid out clearly

The decision to issue a permanent ban is mine and mine only and is not taken lightly but when I feel reasonable warnings have been issued, but ignored

and once again if you dont like the rules and regs here find another fourm to post on

The power to search might have the answer, I believe that this is the post that got the guy banned.

Seems it is questioning "the mods" and you are not allowed to do that.

I might be wrong and I am sure someone will put us right but it seems rather poor if this indeed is the reason, I also got an infraction last night for questioning a Mod and might even get one after this.... The forum has gone Mad.......

It appears that later on in the thread he went on to suggest that Monty is/was the greatest European Tour player ever.

That kind of language deserves a lifetime ban on any forum!

I think the lack of Scots on here now tells us something, this place used to have loads of Scots on every night having a good bit of banter and craic and most of it harmless, but this place has changed for the worst IMO it has . I've met loads of guys on here and some recently said that its pants.

You just need to look at the arrange a game section there was always a scottish meet somewhere going on Machrihanish,Millport or Dundonald but there's nowt, i think alot of peolpe get offended far to easy on here then if you tell some one a home truth then all there wee mates get a join in.

Ive been on the end of it about a high handicapper on about feel from his wedge, it was my opinion if they didn't like it tough that was my thoughts, its a forum about golf, i'd tell my mates exactely the same thing.

Some people on here really need to get a life and stop complaing about the slightest thing that they don't like.

I've never met Bomber, he may be a great bloke for all I know.

I've never complained about him or any of his posts (or anybody else's for that matter) but I did find many of his posts to be boring, repetitive and confrontational.

If he is as good a guy as many testimonials suggest then all I can say is, it's a shame he chose to post in the manner that he did.

Bomber must have been warned several times and he took no heed.
He may be a nice guy as others have said but if he cant follow the rules and heed the warnings, then I'm afraid he's got no-one else to blame but himself.

I didn't chose to view his posts in this manner, he gave me no choice at all. He came across on here as arrogant and rude, and is one of the reasons a rematch against hdido fell through.

Surely the onus is on the poster tho Martin , ie use of smiley faces etc to make sure their point is received as intended & if its not to then clarify what was intended ..

For the record i had some good banter & heated conversations with Bomber , must say even tho we didnt always (nearly ever) agree i enjoyed it, and just opted out when it was geting bogged down

How you view posts is how you view them.
I read a post and take it the way I read it - I don't think to myself "Oooh this post's from Bomber so I'm going to take it as offensive"
Nobody "chooses" to take a post one way or another - you take as you read it..
