I have just spotted this thread.

This morning I spotted a closed thread titled Bomber69 RIP and I actually thought he was deed.

A hasty text was sent to Craw but no reply came so I put a post up asking for clarification which was subsequently removed without anyone explaining why.

Thankfully tonight Craw has txt me to confirm it was only a ban and not a death for Bomber so you can imagine my relief that a good fella had not snuffed it.

I spent the day sick with worry.

Surely it wouldn't have taken too much for someone from the Mods to have explained why my thread was removed and answer my valid and concerned question?

You need a sense of humour to golf but by christ you get shot down if you dare to have one that doesn't fit agendas aroond here.

What a load of nonsense ... How fragile is life when you've got to tiptoe around high handicapper's? It's a fairly gentle statement and when your stuck behind 4 x 15 handicapper's on a Saturday they could get called a lot worse!

The guys I play with all have a laugh and a joke at each others expense and its all good humoured, we even have silly names for each other.

But with Bomber 69 getting a lifetime ban I’m thinking some on here don’t.

I never took offense to any of his posts and didn’t mind being called a chomper or weekend warrior one bit, it is the truth after all.

So come on guys do you have a sense of humour and like a bit of banter… or would you rather not?

Well I know from speaking with him today. I'm lead to believe he'll post all correspondence on the forum in his own good time.

The power to search might have the answer, I believe that this is the post that got the guy banned.

Seems it is questioning "the mods" and you are not allowed to do that.

I might be wrong and I am sure someone will put us right but it seems rather poor if this indeed is the reason, I also got an infraction last night for questioning a Mod and might even get one after this.... The forum has gone Mad.......

Saddened to hear about this tonight. It's only a stupid Internet forum but bomber was one of the guys who kept it interesting and also seemed like a good guy when I met him. Pretty harmless banter, I thought, but maybe not apparent to everyone who wasn't aware it was a recurring theme.
