Me and Kellfire are going down to the BMW PGA Championship again this year and are wanting somewhere to play on the Saturday.

Ideally somewhere with 2 courses as we are wanting to play 36 holes.

We are stopping at the premier inn near Heathrow so anywhere within a 30 minute or so drive.

Don't mind paying a little extra for a decent course.

Any suggestions?

Depending on what time you are looking to tee of I'm sure Hawkeye or myself can get you signed in at my place - about 15-20 minute drive (depending on traffic) from Wentworth. Only 18 hole course though.

Foxhills has 2 good courses that should be in pretty good nick at that time of year. Possibly a bit 'over-budget' though.

Alternatively, having played Royal Ascot, you could drive a mile or so down to Mill Ride - also pretty good. Recently sold/purchased so condition may change, but normally pretty good at that time too.

There are a few 36 hole venues nearby that spring to mind; the best imo are Sunningdale & The Berkshire, and if you can get on at a weekend you WILL be paying extra. Burhill is a 36 hole venue with 2 very different courses, still may be difficult to get on at a weekend, but if you fancy a Mizuno custom fit you can do that whilst you're there. The best bet might be Foxhills, 2 good courses and I as it is a bit more of a leisure complex than a golf club, a weekend green fee might not prove as difficult as the others here.

Looked at Foxhills last year and it was over £100 for just 18 holes so a little overbudget.

I'll check out Mill Ride, could do 2 diffrent courses if it didn't involve too much driving.

Our club (Ealing) will be in spectacular condition then. We had people coming from the comp at Wentworth last year to try the greens as they are stupidly good. I'm not entirely sure you'll be able to get on at the weekend though, unless you were looking at joining ;) ...

I'll keep it in mind.

Might have a look a little further away from Wentworth because most the courses bump the prices up that weekend.

Anyone suggest any courses that wouldn't be too much of a detour on the way down from the north east?
