bubba watson at the french open

He's American. Why are we surprised. Most of them don't like travelling anyway.
Don't know why he's going to come back for The Open as he's got as much chance of winning it as Fragger has....

Im Hurt

You cant compare me with Bubba

Im much nicer :D
and I always give interviews

Fragger

All this combined with the £200k appearance fee and sporting the £500k watch = Total knob!

I was under the impression that , on this forum, the word "Knob" was sort of like a term of endearment.

We need another "Forum word" for when someone deserves to be called something worse

How about "The Guys A Bubba"

Fragger
:D

Forum word should be....." bLubba " :D

I think his tiny redneck brain couldn't translate the cries of
"obtenez dans le trou"
So he threw his dummy out of the cot

Shame he has behaved like such a muppet this week. I think a lot of European fans quite enjoyed him at the RC but any positivity has been eroded and more. He has acted like a spoilt brat and clearly only here to pick up the cash. Didn't look interested and acted like a prima donna. I'm afraid you have done yourself no favours Bubba

Disrepectful to the European Tour, the sponsors and to the french people, complete p$%^k who should have his appearance cheque cancelled and face action from PGA tour.
Whats going to happen if he is in the US Ryder Cup team in 2018, throw out his toys and say he is not coming out to play!I hope he does play because that will be points in the bag for Europe.
He is just an average player who has won a couple of Category C tournaments and who comes over to Europe thinking he should be afforded VIP status. Will be interesting to see what sort of reception he gets at the British Open.

Very disappointed - was a fan till I saw this performance - the interview and attitude not the golf that is.

Always seemed like a down to earth kinda guy before.

Compare him to Dustin Johnson who came over and performed very well and was very upbeat about the European tour - night and day. So it's not a Yank thing as such - maybe a deep south thing :)

He was fine at Celtic Manor, if I remember rightly he came out in the rain to be interviewed when there was a break in play.

Seemed nice and courteous, maybe he just had a bad day?

Don't just get it wrong, get it Bubba wrong!

I think he's harmed his image. Seems he isn't quite as laid back and easy going as I thought. Ok it wasn't a good experience for him but he just needed to say some nice things about the course, maybe apologise for not playing his best for his European fans and everything would've been fine. It never looks good blaming others for your failings.

Ungrateful spoilt brat who thought he could scoop up some easy money and world ranking points. He should sod off back to the US and stay there. He has no chance of winning The Open, so won't be missed if he decides to stay in Hicksville.

He is also wrong to say that phones are allowed in Europe but not in the US. This very weekend, the US event is sponsored by AT&T, the phone network, and phones are specifically allowed although people are asked to switch them to silent on the course.

Not sure about the laid back image. He always came across to me as a nervous wreck who was looking for any excuse to start balling his eyes out. He even walks jittery, and as for his swing...well!!

He hasn't done himself any favours for sure but its only going to put off more yanks coming over here to play a bit more which is the real shame.

I thought he seemed like a normal down to earth blow but after seeing that it's completley changed! What a complete jebend!

I'm sure that's the last thing his sponsers wanted to hear after he apparentley was playing over in Europe for them.

Also it's funny how he has been very quiet on Twitter this weekend, he's usualy never off the bloddu thing posting quotes from the bible.

Maybe he should go read it again and try coming back with a better attitude!

These guys often thank God when they play well. Funny enough, they don't say the opposite when they play badly.

He looked scared to me, as though he was waiting for a lunatic to come running at him?

He made reference to the "security" when interviewed.

Hmmm.

Cheers

Steve...

I see he has been back on Twitter saying sorry if he offended anyone and that he was to blame and not the fans or the tournament and after saying he won't play in europe again apart from the open he his now playing the open, Scandanavian masters, Denmark and the Shuco open.

I think sumone may have had a quiet word in his ear!

Fair play to him if he does play all them events in europe and acts abit better next time when things arent going his way.

You'd almost believe the European Tour is now harder than the PGA tour. DJ came over and was fair in the BMW and now Bubba chops it round in France, and no US major winners right now :D

He insisted on his own courtesy car, and refused to share with another player. :( Don't think Ewan Murray is taken with him. ;)

I just heard this today.

(sorry, my life is weeks behind the rest of the world).

I'm exercising my voodoo on him right now.

"does Bubba have any following over here?" I've just heard...from an American commentator...

Not if RGs voodoo works. :D
