Best golf shoes for season ahead - what do you recommend.

After a full year in the Ecco Biom C4 I can comfortably (excuse the pun) say these are the best shoes I've owned.

Only flaw I can find is they're relatively heavy, each shoe 100g heavier than my Nikes and foot joys. Doesn't sound like much but its noticeable when you pick them up to put them on. Legs definitely feel better after a round with a lighter shoe but you get used to the Biom's if its all you wear.

I recently got a pair of New Balance 740s, trainers not golf shoes, but on a dry day I reckon they'd be cracking to wear! Very comfortable indeed.
Loved my NB 720 retro 80s running shoes. Gutted they don’t make them anymore. The best daily wear trainers I’ve ever owned. Just bought a pair of 411v3 which will hopefully do the job.

2 pairs of Nike Pegasus 89 shoes, maybe the comfiest shoes I’ve ever worn. Pair of New Balance spikeless as well which are also very very comfortable 👌
I bought a pair of New Balance spineless shoes last summer for the dry days. I think they’re possible the lightest and most comfortable golf shoe I’ve ever owned.

I'm not a fan of light shoes, I feel I need/want a bit of support during my swing and prefer a more substantial shoe - not that I swing fast or anything, just prefer a more solid base.

I always struggle for shoes, in the shops they are nice and comfy but after a round my feet are killing me, I went with the sketchers (GM recommended) and they are comfy no pain and feel I could walk all day problem is they don't last I get a crease along the toe line and it cracks after a few months and not as waterproof as others either, I went and bought the puma articulate high tops last Xmas and I must say I'm really impressed with them, feet are dry and pain free so going forward I think I'll be sticking with puma, not sure if anyone else has this issue were the heels rip on the inside of the shoe it's happening with every golf shoe iv owned been fitted ect and still does it even with the pumas

Yup, same for me. I've tried various things to cover the rip but they quickly peel off. A real shame as I've had to give up on some otherwise perfectly good shoes just for this very reason.

The shoes still look brand new other that the big hole in the heel when I was fitted by footjoy they recommended the slx bought the boa ones and I do like the look of them but heel slipped out after about an hour, I definitely think the sock type shoe is the only ones for me going forward

I had a pair of Sketchers rip at the back after about 4 rounds. I took them to my local shoe repairer who said it was a manufacturing error, they had been strecthed too tight at the back.

The other pair I got at the same time are still absolutely fine over 18 months later.

Been wearing G4 spikeless over the winter. Leak free and wipe clean. Excellent. Sign on for a email update and buy in the sale! :-) Absolutely excellent

I’m very hard on the inside of the heel on all my shoes. I’ve found that my best bet are the more shoe-like offerings that are leather lined. Footjoy and Duca Del Cosma have a few. The more trainer-like ones I just wear through the fabric inside the back within a few months.

Any recommendations for a Plantar Fasciitis sufferer............? 😩
I haven’t used them but Orthosole get good reviews. Invented and owned by Ronnie Irani and a foot doctor of some description. There are versions that are specifically designed for sport and PF.
