Bar prices at your Club

Credit card needed at Bearwood then !! £360 for Becks !! :D

just for visitors - members get a 99% discount!! :) But what I discovered at Woburn the other day is that Kirin is the king of lagers - and you even do it in the wonderful halfway hut!! No kirin around Wokingham and I can't remember the last place I saw it - I have already started a campaign!

No idea TBH, mind you, I couldn't tell you the price in the local pubs either. The £50 levy was scrapped a few years ago but you can now use your winnings from comps in the bar as well as the pro shop.

Some of the prices quoted on here look like they are hotel courses or similar.....I hope so anyway!! Ours are around the £3.00 for bitter and £3.30 for lager (maybe £3.60 for premium lagers) but we get 15% off that making a pint of bitter £2.50 and say San Miguel £3.00 which I think compares well with local pubs.

Personally, I don't think bar levies are worth the hassle tbh. 95% of members will actually spend £50 or whatever over a year but there's a good proportion who resent being told they have to. Just causes loads of hassle and doesn't actually increase sales much at all. Much better to make the clubhouse a good place to be and hopefully attract the car park golfer in. You'll never get them all but there again it is still a free country.

As for OP, there is absolutely no justification for a 25% rise - ever. It will drive customers away when the key to making a bar pay is to generate turnover and volume sales.

Our club didn't increase the membership fees this year, but seem to have really jacked up the bar prices to compensate. I have largely stopped eating there because I can better get value food elsewhere!

Prices are ridiculous but I guess they're mainly set for the tourists etc so not really surprising. Sometimes get special deals on beers etc but generally its not a place to hang around for too long

I remember buying 2 beers and a brandy and coke at Anahita for £36!!

I try and avoid the club bar as very expensive and very corporate. Beer and food are ordinary too.

No idea really, think its around £3.50 for a pint (maybe less, we get discount with the card) but I never check my receipt other than to see the balance on my card!

I would say they are in line with pub prices, food pretty good value aswell and very nice.

well a pint is around 5,4 pounds and a daily lunch including sallad, bread and lightbeer ,and cofee is about 7,9 pounds, as a member we have 15 % discount on all we buy in the restaurant...
