Bag essentials

Moving the thread on from the inner workings of Homer's digestive system.......

I carry one of these insect bite 'zappers':

http://www.amazon.co.uk/MOSQUITO-STINGING-RELIEF-Medically-approved/dp/B002AXL266

They are really effective if bitten (not sure would cope with a hornet sting but form typical misquito etc fine). Best thing is they never run out (so Seniors will love them!) and also no messy cream that will end up with more inside the bag pocket than will ever be spread on affected human tissue, no matter how careful I am!

They are great, I. Need one! On our 6th every. Time I get a horsefly bite!

Seriously Roots, you don't want to be bitten by a horsefly. Its like being bitten by a Velociraptor!!
Yup it's the female one, there are traps that can be set up for them. They are persistent and will take a slap and carry on biting!
The badgers eat the grubs but in doing so turn the land over in the digging to get to them. However I am told that certain weed killers that have some mercury? ( not sure now ) stunt the grubs growth and the horsefly population drops.

Really - I'd of thought the 'viromentalists would have stopped that yonks ago?!?!?
Yup I thought they did as well but this was mentioned by the head of greens whether they use it or not I don't know. We still have a lot because of the paddocks and farms around.
