As the title says
Anybody played lately...?
There are 8 of us heading North early friday morning to play No.2 Course
Ive never played before, but heard loads about the courses
Just wondering how its been lately.....and any Tips too, obviously

Brian, bring your waterproofs, and leave your brolly at home. 15-20 mph winds. We were supposed to play No3 last week, but it got called off. No 2 i haven't played yet. Best of luck dude. Remember to post up some pictures. lol

Played Gullane 2 back in late April in very wet weather and the course was still very firm under-foot, with the greens putting well. The links soil will drain no problem so you should be fine. I played Dunbar last Friday evening after a torrential thunderstorm had one lane of the A1 closed off and the course was perfect.

Enjoy!

Cheers Derek,
Thats what were hoping for, we have suffered terrible locally, with the wet, most courses parkland and cant withstand what weve had to endure, lots of closures
Firm under foot................that sounds good to me

It's a really good course - you'll love it. Not terribly punishing and not too long, but still a good challenge. Food in the visitors clubhouse is good too. :D

lovely course - my fave of the east lothian ones
greens are great
views good
weather...hmmmm

you will have a grand day out!

Just got back home, not much time to write up, as gotta take HID out tonight.........

But it was BRUTAL.........!!

But also enjoyed

Weather was tough, windy and rained on/off most of round, rough Real Punishing, course Great, Greens great, best Links Ive played, real test of golf

3 par 3s and wind NOT helping on the 1st 2 of them

Defo a track u need to have played before to know some of the lines, etc

a someone from the South, I am actually amazed you managed to get there from the images and stories I have been seeing regarding floods, roads, etc

mind you - there was golf at the end of it so I guess a few mm of rain wasn't going to stop you :)

Great course. I played it and No.1 a couple of times earlier in the year.... It was in great nick at a time that my own course was struggling due to the weather.

Rough was pretty forgiving but I fear it might have grown up a bit more by now.

You'll love it, is my predication.
