It’s always an interesting major

A field of 156 , a number of invites and a number of club pros always give it a chance to create some stories - Block last year being a big one

Always think it used to be better as the last major in August

In the past it used to create some random winners , players that never contended or did anything after but in recent years it’s changed

Valhalla looks a great course when they played the RC and previous majors

Koepka will always be there , the man is major machine , Rory I think will wake up , shame Aberg has an issue with his knee as he is ready to burst through

But for me I think this is the one that someone like Young , Hovland , Schaffle or Fleetwood finally breaks through

If anyone is interested Sky are now starting to show “the Official” film series of the PGA to wet the appetite

Does anyone know of any betting sites that allow you to place bets on players missing the cut?

Not sure of the issue with the USPGA invitations. The Masters invites a load of old crocks back every year.

Think the difference there is the players ( crocks ) - are invited back due to a qualifying because they won

The qualifying criteria for the US PGA is very “open” and does allow them to invite a load if they wish

But I guess it’s strange when players ranked 120 get invited yet ones ranked higher don’t

The LiV big dog himself of course.
For me that would mean Koepka.
From previous posts I'm going to guess you may be referring to Gooch though.
Looks like no-one had used those 3 letters on this page 😄 good to see you keeping the run going after being pipped on the dress code thread 😉

If Gooch, he didn’t seem to handle the pressure well last year, so will see if he's learnt/improved. Interesting to see what odds the bookies are offering for a missed cut.

Obviously Gooch. He’s their champion I believe. And the BIB is why I would like to see the odds on him missing the cut.

Also. You appear to have missed the fact the GM headof LiV spin and hyperbole himself has already posted on the thread. Nice try at a dig though. Keep up the good work 😉😁

Nah, didn't miss it all - in fact it seems you missed the words in the post you quoted, and chose to move the goalposts to suit 🤷‍♂️
Also wasn't a dig. Genuinely thought you were being ironic/sarcastic on the Random Irritations, and it was a bit of a laugh - that's the thing words on the internet I guess. Lesson learnt.
Perhaps you just don't realise you do it, but then again you could have just typed the players name out - so it seemed a deliberate/conscious thing.

Anyway, don't want to take this thread further off track. Back to the upcoming PGA Championship.

Feels like a few of the 'bigger name players' are showing form going into this. Unlike the Masters where many seemed less so.
Looking forward to this.
Expect a fair bit of money will be going on Rory now!
