YouTubers.

The Bryan Bros currently producing the best content on YouTube imo.
I struggle to watch them, I have a completely unfounded dislike of George for some reason. I don’t know what it is or why but for reasons unknown I have the urge to punch him rather than watch him 🤣

I don't hate them to that extent but I can't get into them at all. Like most of the American YouTubers really, just generic personalities.

You fancy having a stab at Handicap Sec or Treasurer then ;)
Bloody dyslexia. Does make for some funny comments though 🤣

Did you have anyone in mind in particular that needs to be stabbed 😏

Ironically I’d been fine with both those jobs I’m actually really good with numbers Words however they are my Kryptonite!

Just watched AskGolfNut review of the Vice blades … they look pretty cool. But when he rounds up at the end with 3 different speeds .. not one of the data sets shows a 10yard gap between each iron. They are all 13-15 yards ..
But he doesn’t seem bothered by it … surely it indicates these are not functional?

I don’t think it suggests that at all, it merely means the gapping sits at the higher end of the recommended club player average and is pretty much bang on the number for tour pro average gaps.

So they’re basically aimed at better payers who see to expect that gap and can manipulate flight to account for it when needed. The average club golfer aims for a 10-12 gap to stop them having to work the ball, but it’s not going to be an issue for the level of player these I assume are aimed at.

I suspect it’s more in the “Nuts” calculation and it lacking a few powers in the equation as excel spreadsheets don’t like a dirty big equation ( VBA is a bit better but can be a muppet at times)

Just watched it earlier on this evening along with his playing one at Copperhead.

I can’t work out if I found the video interesting or whether it was paralysis by analysis. The biomechanics, mobility and power generation for me was fascinating as I find how the body moves and can be improved a hugely interesting topic and I want to get my own health and fitness handicap now 🤣.

But the swing mechanics part couldn’t work out if that was interesting and trying help him eke out more. I just don’t think the instructors were very good at conveying how to implement the ideas into the swing. I’d love to give it a rewatch but with the same guys doing the fitness analysis and a real top coach giving the swing advice based off of the science.

This popped up on my suggested basically does the full screening test that you'd go through. I reckon the tour pro baselines for the strength tests would be easily found online

see if you struggle with any of them

Not really sure what point you’re looking at making. I never struggled with anything in the last assessment video. I have a very good grasp on how biomechanics works and how it’s used to develop power. This video just further shows the quality of what a performance assessment can do.

What I struggled with on the finch one was I didn’t think the golf instructor was very good at converting that data into decent instruction. It was you that then questioned me stating he’s a top 50 coach. Doesn’t mean I have to think he puts his point across well.

I instruct as part of my job but there will be people that don’t take to my instruction as well as others. That in itself is a pretty common thing.

I even pointed out the Iona video for me was better than Finches as it was better detailed. If this video had gone on to show golf instruction with Anders Mankert then im sure it would have been better than Finch’s as well, Anders is an exceptional coach who delivers the instruction of how the body causes golf movements in a way that is easily understood. I would even say he’s a better coach than your top 50 guy but that’s just my opinion.

So maybe you can point exactly what your actual point is because you’ve not proven anything and certainly not shown anything different to what’s been discussed. It’s just a bit on and odd post to tag or call me out in 🤔

Wasn’t trying to prove a point 😂 just thought you might want to see an assessment in full to assess your golf health and fitness handicap yoursel like you said in the post I quoted 😂

Fair one I seem to have misjudged your post so apologies my friend 😘

Oh I don’t need TPi to tell me I had mobility issues. Years of carrying excessive weight on my back over hills has left me with pretty much no mobility in my hamstrings and shoulders. Something I’m suffering from at the moment and trying to rectify with physio and changing my exercise routine.

Maybe I should get one done I reckon I could be a solid 30 index if I’m having a good day 🤣

Nee bother 😂

Yeah I’ve watched a fair few of the tpi screenings and it’s mental how much some of the elite lads who swing it at high end speeds are “high” handicappers

One scandi ripping it 180 ball speed and failed miserably on the toe touch and lat tests

I am genuinely considering doing something along these lines to see where I am at from a health point, but if it sits with the golf 😏

I’m horrific at the toe touch, every morning I stretch my hamstrings and after 5 attempts I can just touch my toes 🤣
