YouTubers.

Another u-tuber came to Shetland this time in December (Manors Golf) with the intention of birding every hole of the three courses here. Not the best idea given the weather herešŸ˜‚

Fair play to the guy he did manage it but it was a struggle at times.

He gave a more realistic view of what it’s like to be a member of our course Whalsay GC than Liam from golf mates.

This is the weird thing about YouTube these days, Manors Golf is a comparatively small channel in terms of subscribers, 2.2K, and yet there's a team behind it and the production quality is very good.

YouTube golf is just so competitive now that to make a go of it you need a huge input.

I tried, I really did but the video really annoyed me!! Not sure if it was him, the filming, the overdramaticness of it but I didn't last long. Shame as I was looking forward to seeing the courses.

I really enjoyed watching it. It was an absolutely brutal task. You could feel his pain missing 5 footers on terrible greens. Playing 2 holes over and over for an hour and half not making a birdie. Playing one hole 20 times and not making birdie.
Fair play to the lad. It was a serious challenge. Physically and mentally.

Peter Finch tried same round the Lofoten Islands course…birdie every hole in one 24hr day (midsummer so 24hrs of daylight). He suffered…but managed it in the end. I found it a great watch.

Our course Whalsay is a tough test even in the best of conditions, I felt for him having to walk back on the par 5s in those conditions.

Fair play to the lad for completing the task , maybe been a better idea to come in the summeršŸ˜‚

The setting is spectacular but being a member playing all the time and getting little run can be frustrating.

is anyone following Rick Shiels ā€œteasersā€? Any guesses on what the announcement is going to be?

Judging by shots and mentions of night, he’s moving to Dubai šŸ™ƒ
