I know MendieGK started a thread on the SecretTourPro account that's become really popular on Twitter http://forums.golf-monthly.co.uk/showthread.php?78462-SecretTourPro-Twitter&highlight=secret+tour anyway we have manged to get him to do an exclusive extended Q&A in the magazine where he'll be able to answer questions in much more depth than he can on Twitter. It should give a really different insight into life on Tour

If you want to put a question forward then email it to golfmonthly@timeinc.com with Secret Tour Pro in the subject line

Does your wife get treated to new household fixtures and fittings when you win?

If you could add another club to your bag what would it be? Similarly if you had to remove one what would it be? And why? for both questions.

Honestly Mike, I wouldn't go through with this. The account is a fraud.

Whoever is behind this obviously craves the attention, and it would be wrong for you to fuel that.

Or maybe Mike knows which pro it is and it's harmless but would like to know how you know the account is a fraud and is just craving attention ?

My Qs would be when they are going to learn to use Twitter, and not retweet everything someone asks them. It's starting to get annoying lol

If the account was genuine there would be no need to use other people's photos to imitate their 'on tour' lifestyle.

Knowing that, one must infer that whoever is running it is just seeking a bit of attention. And there's nothing wrong with that - plenty of people pretend to be someone else online.

But when it comes to publishing their content in our beloved magazine, and people buying GM expecting that everything inside is kosher when it's not - that feels like it's gone a bit far.

Or possibly he is actually a tour pro and is happy being a secret Twitter account and GM are happy with that and agree that he could give an interesting account of life on tour as initially suggested

GM has for most of its history been a paper publication. Its in a situation where that is less relevant as magazines (and papers for that matter) are dieing out. As such they need to be attention seeking themselves to survive. There own social media to date has been pretty poor and they have clearly had a good look at it and come up with collaborations with the likes of Rick and Pete and in this case make alliances or spark interest with something topical on Twitter. Seems smart to me.

Phil, I know you love to debate, but I'm afraid you're wrong on this one.

I didn't have to look far to find glaring inconsistencies that reveal the truth.

If you want an insight into life on tour ask any of the hundreds/thousands of golfers that can give it to you. Asking this fake account would be deceiving readers - you might as well ask my cat.
