Do you not think that the number of balls in the Titleist family is creating confusion to golfers and consider making a range of around five balls that progressively change in their spin and feel characteristics.
I think this is an excellent question especially as the advertising blurb on the packaging makes it very difficult to differentiate between their products as they all seem to offer exceptional spin, control and distance.

Not to mention softness!!!

Last one promise!!! Manufacturers advertise their balls as being suitable for certain swing speeds yet the vast majority of golfers do not know what their swing speed is. Are there any other metrics you can use to suggest suitability?

We all know Titleist are the no1 ball in golf.
However other makes of ball are closing the gap.
What are Titleist doing to make sure they stay no1 and one step
ahead of there main competiters.

1.) When I started to play golf I felt I just wasn't good enough to justify playing Titleist. Do they feel they have targetted the low handicap golfer and have enough depth in the range and/or a budget ball for higher handicappers?

2.) Is there a reason they don't offer a female specific ball as many of their competitors do?

One of your competing ball manufacturers produced a yellow premium version of their ball. Obviously there must be a demand for this option.
Do you see yourselves producing yellow or possibly even orange ProV1, ProV1x or NXT ball as opposed to just in the DT SoLo model.

Could you please end the argument about whether the temperature affects the ball performance. There appears to be various views as to the effect the cold has both on compression and performance. Is it possible to put a measure on the effect temperature has? Should we warm our balls up on a cold day?

What is the most popular model of ball amongst the tour professionals? Also how will they go about selecting a certain ball what tests are usually done to help them choose? Do you ever get asked to make the balls in a different colour for the pros or do they have to stick with a white ball?

According to Titleist ball- fitting, I should using the ProV1x.
Would a 5-10 handicapper really be able to tell the difference between a ProV1 and ProV1x and given the generally less consistent quality of strike compared to a Pro, would we see a real difference in performance.

2 part question.

a) Do the different dimple patterns on balls play a major factor on the aerodynamics and in turn the flight of the ball?

b) If so, why is there no standard pattern between manufacturers? After all, aerodynamics is the same for everyone isn't it?

How far ahead of the game do your R&D engineers need to be. How long does it take to develop a new model of golf ball ?
